The Tour Starts at the Charlottetown Visitor Information Centre at 6 Prince Street. I will ask you to stop/pull over outside the Building for a minute while we start the Tour .

We are relatively computer neophytes, and could not navigate in the direction we wished to travel. It was quite frustrating. A recommended course of travel is a fine thing, but being more flexible and able to open a description ‘on demand’, we feel, would be beneficial..

This is a thorough, well-thought out tour that allows you to see a variety of sites, neighborhoods, attractions, restaurants and shops. It also tells interesting historical facts about PEI. The navigation was on point!

We absolutely loved the self-guided tour of PEI’s North Shore! The route was well planned — from stunning coastal views and red-sand beaches to quaint fishing villages and scenic lookouts. Having the flexibility to explore at our own pace made it feel really personal. Highlights for us were Cavendish Beach, the dunes in PEI National Park, and the charming stops along the way for local art. We really enjoyed visiting the Anne of Green Gable museum and even took a stroll thru lovers lane.
The directions were clear, the history was interesting without being overwhelming. Thank you Josh. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the island — especially if you like to explore independently but still want a bit of guidance and local flavour!

This is a great concept. We still managed to have a good day.
However this tour was problematic and caused considerable stress from start to finish. It was difficult to get started and took us over an hour to work out when time was precious. Tourist Information centre were sooo helpful but they too struggled to get the tour loaded. Once we finally had the app..after some more delay we discovered you had to have your car at an exact spot for the tour to start. So saying start outside tourist info centre is not exact enough.
The route was excellent but the interesting commentary muffled, too quiet to hear without straining and the speaker spoke very quickly..not smart as tourists have to deal with accent issues as well as driving and following directions.
As for the direction instructions...these were simply frustrating. Mostly the first couple of words cut out of every instruction....sadly this was usually the turn right or turn left instruction. We met other travellers at the end of this tour and they too had this same frustration.
Certainly you need to take photos on a different device otherwise you will spend frustrating time like us trying to refind your tour on the app.Towards the end we just gave up and found our own way to the Anne of Green Gables house and the preserve company.
We cannot recommend this tour but with some upgrading it could be excellent.

It was nice to travel in my own vehicle and still have a virtual travel guide to narrate points of interest. The app worked well and kept us on track. would recommend.

I was not sure what to expect when I bought this audio tour but boy, was I glad we did! Josh was very responsive and answered my questions promptly. The audio guide is very easy to use. You download an app and put in the code that Josh sends and you are all set. The tour starts at the visitor info center downtown. It is magic how the audio guide knows where you are and tells you what you are looking at along the way. We went up streets into places that other would never have found. If you are into Anne of Green Gables there is a stop there as well. Just be sure to book your rental car well in advance of the ship coming in. If you are not on a ship and visiting in your own car, this is a really great way to get the “flavour” of PEI. I recommend this to everyone.

We could not docked and stayed out at see. The process to purchase and download was a breeze. I am sure it would have worked had we been able to use it. Leaving a review about the process. Now only annoyed a the number of reminders I got to leave a reviews since I hadn’t used the tour I was not intending to review it.

We spent a wonderful afternoon with Mac seeing the absolutely beautiful Cape Breton National Park. Mac’s family history is a fascinating link to the economic development of the area, and the dedication to conserving the environment and fishing industry that are vital to this province. His enthusiasm is infectious and his knowledge of the history of Nova Scotia is impressive. This is a must do experience the is full of facts and fun driving along mountain trails and seaside towns and beaches.

My experience was terrible. The app kept repeating itself, driving me around in circles going nowhere. I followed the instructions and still got very easily lost. Gave up after 20 minutes. Not worth the money, which by the way, if you’re honest and declare all the passengers in your car, you pay more for!! It shouldn’t matter if it’s one person or a full car. It should not cost more when we’re all in the same vehicle.

Wonderful being able to be in your own space and go your own pace yet have narration of what you are seeing along with history of the area and the island. Biggest problem was wanting to stay longer at most sites. Also, could not locate the “pause/stop” then “restart” features, so sometimes missed some narration or had to go back to re-listen. Overall, great experience!

The family was on a cruise and had a whole day in PEI. instead of joining a tour, we rented a car and followed the audio tour at our own pace. The information was very interesting and fun. The suggestions were appreciated. The tour made our day in PEI extra special!

Sorry to hear that you were having issues with the Tour and that it didn’t work for you . We are always available to help when issues arise , we are always a phone call or email away to help you if the technology isn’t working properly . Once the Tour is downloaded it uses your GPS to guide you on where to go and to tell you the Historical Information as you go . I did have a few other people do the Tour yesterday and they mentioned that they didn’t have any issues and that they enjoyed the Tour so I will reach out to you for we can figure out what may have happened
