Wonderful tour! Had amazing mussels, lobster roll and oysters at three different restaurants. We learned so much about Charlottetown’s history from our guide, Josh. He was very passionate about P.E.I. as this area is home for him (9th generation). Highly recommend!

Sampling PEI mussels, lobster roll, potato salad, oysters and moonshine made for a wonderful tour in itself. But our delightful guide gave us so much more with the history n and

Mark was an excellent guide who shared the history of PEI. The food taste was excellent of the lobster, mussels and the oysters that my husband only tried. Great fun and very enjoyable.

We enjoyed our food walking tour. We were a group of 17, which seemed a bit large, and it was mostly manageable. Our tour guide, Mark is native to PEI and provided many anecdotes and historical facts along the way.
The food was both interesting and satisfying. Clearly they have put some thought into making the tour entertaining.
On the negative side, we had a bit of a delay as the restaurant serving the lobster rolls was backed up. It it made the tour run longer, so that was a minor inconvenience.
Overall, we would recommend it

Happy to hear that you enjoyed the Tour and thank you very much for your feedback in terms of size and about the wait for Lobster , I do apologize about that . Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels ! Josh

The tour guide was very knowledgeable of the area and made the tour outstanding with his plus 50years on the island

We both loved the tour and the food stops. If you don’t like shellfish, maybe not! Except now I love mussels. The lobster rolls were excellent. Every stop was fun.
The guide was local and had so much island information.
The city parks are lovely and the Fall colors were at a peak!
Great choice and our best day so far.

Dress warm for changeable weather, comfortable shoes, very good food experience and the tour guide was very accommodating

Great tour! Ken was our guide and he was very interesting! The food was really good! Would recommend doing this tour. You get the best of both good food and facts about the sites.

Loved this tour! Ken was entertaining and provided a lot of historical info. The food was all GREAT even the moonshine was okay! Time between each food stop because there is a lot to hear about! Definitely recommend this tour!

It was a good tour. The food stops were really good. But a bit too long standing in one spot, talking about history.
vincent_s, Sep 2025
The tour guide Mark was extremely good. Understood the history and culture and was passionate about the people
Angelika_S, Sep 2025
The food tour was a historic tour at the same time. We were 13 people in the group and Marc was a very knowledgeable und routined guide. We learned a lot about the Island and the town, the food and lobster. The food was good although I would have preferred a different refreshment than the still water at every stop ( i.e.soda). Very recommendable!

We had such a great tour with Mark! He is so personable, we loved hearing about the island & it's history and his history as well, he's a 6th/7th generation islander. The food stops were so good. Honestly the best mussels I've ever had. We also had a delicious lobster roll, PEI potato salad and then got "shucked in" with the freshest oyster and moonshine right near the port (we came on a cruise ship). One of our favorite parts was chatting with a local lobsterman & seeing his tank of fresh lobster including a blue one! He was a character. Don't hesitate to book one of Tip to Tips tours!!

Fantastic tour - small group so no jostling. Guide Josh is 8th Gen PEI so great insight into history & culture. Kept us engaged with great stops for history and architectural info. Food stops were so good - this is a real winner of a tour!

Mark was informative —funny and knew everyone in town — great day (and the food was good too!!!). Thank you

Great excursion. Josh was a perfect guide.
He notified us and introduced himself and gave us great directions of where are meeting spot was located. His knowledge of the history of the area was quite interesting and informative. The food stops chosen were very tasty.
Would recommend Josh for anyone visiting Charlottetown.

We really enjoyed the Tip to Tip walking tour in Charlottetown. Mark, our guide, led us through several historic sites and shared fascinating stories. What made it especially memorable was the way he blended key moments in Charlottetown’s history with his own family’s personal connection to the area.
The tour also included three food stops where we sampled mussels, a lobster roll, and oysters. Each stop was delicious and added a fun local flavor to the history we were learning.
Very informative, engaging, and absolutely worth the price!

Our guide was wonderful -- not only knowledgeable and engaging but able to make the history of PEI and Charlottetown come alive buy tying it not only to the lived experience of the people of the town and the island (and, at one point, the ground beneath our feet) but his own life as a sixth generation islander. The food was great too -- though this is more of a "history + food" tour rather than a "food + history tour." Of course, when you get mussels, lobster, and oysters (all fresh), that's not really an issue.

A wonderful way to explore the city and familiarize yourself with its history and amazing food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun day trip activity in Charlottetown!
Joy_F, Sep 2025
This was a wonderful tour. Our guide was the father-in-law of Josh, the owner. He is a 4th generation islander. This was a wonderful history tour with personal antidotes and great food! Lobster roll was basically lobster on a warm toasted bun - with a touch of mayo - delicious. The mussels were fantastic - in fact we are going back tonight to have some more. The finale-an oyster toast with a shot of moonshine was just what we needed to end the tour. Highly recommend!

Lots of history about PEI.. and delish seafood. Just what we wanted! A fun day with a VERY knowledgeable guide. Super easy from our ship.
Allyce_B, Sep 2025
Our guide Ken had very in depth knowledge of the local area and history, incorporating personal stories that added to the experience. The food was also excellent - a good a variety of local seafood and taste of PEI.

The whole tour was very informative, Caroline is so knowledgeable and excellent as a guide.
The food was delicious including mussels, lobster roll and oyster.
Would highly recommend.

Josh was very good guide . Excellent presentation with photos / maps to give a wonderful explanation of the history of PEI. And the food stops delicious, especially the lobster roll. Highly recommended.
RoseAnn_F, Sep 2025
It is more a history tour than a food tour. First stop after a 20 Minute dissertation on the history was good. We sat and were able to have a drink and acquaint ourselves. All we heard was streets crowded so going. To be a long tour. Second stop after stopping at every street Zoe we doe more history we are told we would have to take our lunar work js then told no upstairs available. We love seats around her all settled in to order a drink and she sihrsorry we can’t stay here. Not happy. Third place one oyster never wakes if we wanted a drink and far from inviting.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Hi there , sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the tour . I apologize for the delays at the different restaurants . The tour wasn’t up to our standards due to the busyness of the City with over 5,000 people in and all of the Restaurants being slammed . The 2nd Restaurant is very small and due to it being very popular sometimes they can’t accommodate us but most times they can , however in cases where we can’t then we can go to a nearby picnic table , which is stated in the Tour description . I do very much apologize though and I have also sent you a refund . Sorry again for the inconvenience, we will look to fix this for this doesn’t happen again . Josh

Creative food stops with mussels and oysters. Our guide, Mark, did a great job especially with an historical perspective. .
Virdis_G, Aug 2025
Overall we had a good experience. We booked this in lieu of a similar excursion on our Princess cruise. Our tour guide Mia did a great job explaining the history of PEI as we explored different places to experience the food in the area. The food that we got was more than I expected and we had a lot of fun. The only negative was that it took time to get food in a couple of the places but I think that is because there were a LOT of people in town with our cruise ship being there. We had great conversations with others taking the tour so it all worked out. Would recommend doing this tour. Charlottetown is a wonderful little town that is very walkable for those with any mobility issues.

If you're looking for a delightful way to experience the culinary highlights of Charlottetown, the Charlottetown Food Walking Tour is an excellent choice. Our three-hour tour was relaxed, engaging, and packed with delicious food. Mark, our tour leader and historian, made the experience truly memorable by sharing fascinating stories about PEI's rich history, complete with a book of historical photos and illustrations that brought the past to life. In PEI, its all about the Seafood. Lobster, mussels, and ousters, all caught locally, processed locally, and served fresh. The restaurants we visit are rather close together so there is not a lot of walking, and there are only three food stops. Overall, this tour was more than just a tasting adventure—it was a perfect introduction to the area, blending history and local flavors in a way that's both fun and informative.

Josh, the host, is excellent. He’s full of a wealth of information about Charlottetown - its history, growth patterns and architecture. The three locations for food are also excellent. The lobster warf explanation of lobster is fantastic.
