Green Gables Shore is a region on Prince Edward Island’s north coast that’s known for its stunning natural beauty—rolling hills, sandy beaches, and sandstone cliffs. It’s also the place that inspired L.M. Montgomery’s classic 1908 novel "Anne of Green Gables."
Stop at Green Gables Heritage Place and the Green Gables House, a National Historic Site located in Cavendish. Each year, hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world visit this farmhouse.
Finally, stop at the Prince Edward Island Preserve Company to browse the selection of jams, marmalades, and other items made locally.
The tour ends with a return trip to Charlottetown.

Lovely tour, our tour guide (I believe her name is Marie Lee) kept us engaged with lots of good information and jokes. She saw that we are travelling with two young boys so she came to our seats and gave them each a pack of sour patch kids candies, so thoughtful of her. Great way to see the Green Gable house and tour of surrounding areas. I really enjoyed the info she gave us about the lobster fishing industry. She also told us about the 60feet salad bar at the Fisherman’s Wharf Lobster Supper, we came back the next day on our own after a beach day at Cavendish Beach.

Maura Lee was a fabulous tour guide who knew lots about the island and had the best jokes! She had many side stories for us that made us feel part of PEI's little family. She was patient and kind to all guests (including us who were a little late once...or twice). We especially loved when she took us to meet the "old fisherman." 😉
We would love if there was a virtual way to tip as we forgot to get cash and she absolutely deserved all of the gratituities.
As a note, we would have loved a bit more time to see the Garden of Hope as we did not get to see the pretty butterflies. Overall, however, we highly recommend this tour!!

Great excursion to be able to get to know about the island highlights and spend an hour at the Green Gables house. We had time to walk through the house and walk on the trails. We also learned about the local lobster and mussel fishing industry. A stop at a local jelly maker and a quick beach stop. Great tour and a great guide (Cindy).

We very much enjoyed the Green Gables and Our Island Experience. We saw the Green Gables for the first time and enjoyed the grounds as well as the stops in New Stockholm, North Rustico and the PEI National Park. Maura Lee was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and enjoyed her descriptions of the history but also the little things such as pointing out lupines and talking about the industries of PEI (potatoes, seafood, etc). We recommend this trip as a nice half day tour of PEI.

The 4 hours flew by. We enjoyed the whole tour. The tour guide was excellent (sorry I don’t remember her name). She gave great information on the history of PEI and shared additional stories as well. Anne of Green Gables tour was an hour long and it was just the right amount to explore the house and surrounding areas.

Our guide was very friendly and informative. She obviously loved her island and had a lot of knowledge about the area. She even stopped at a lobster cage to explain how lobsters are caught by the fishermen in the area in the special humane cages they use. The island is beautiful and so clean. It was a joy to drive around and listen to the lively banter from our guide. Highly recommend this tour!

Went with my Mom, easygoing day. Covered everything in their itinerary with very knowledgeable tour guide and driver.
Very organized and on time.

Good opportunity to get the feel of the area. How people live and make a living. Fishing, agriculture, education. Went through Mikmak indians place. Stopped at Lucy Montgomery house, author of her 7 books, good area to walk for an hour. Maura was a good guide.

Your time at Green Gables is extremely limited. You wait in line to be hustled through the house leaving no time to explore the grounds or the informational exhibits at the entrance
However you spend a very long time at a local jam and jelly shop allegedly to use the toilets. But there are very adequate toilets at Green Gables if the time was allowed to use them.
The most disappointing tour ever.

We are sorry you did not have the time you wanted at Green Gables Heritage Place. It does constitute 25% of the whole tour including driving time to and from Charlottetown. Yes, for fans of Anne and the author, there is a lot to see, especially if visiting on a busy day at the most famous house in Canada. We hope you visit Prince Edward Island again and return to Green Gables, Cavendish and other LM Montgomery cultural sites on your own and at your leisure.

This tour was a wonderful interview to PEI and fulfilled a lifelong wish to visit Green Gables. The scenery was breathtaking and our guide, Joan, was incredibly knowledgeable and informative about the island she loves. She shared personal experiences and let us have a glimpse into life on PEI. Prince Edward Island Tour.. The tour guide and bus driver were exceptional. The Bus Driver got us to our destination safe and was very friendly.
Joan the tour guide was amazing clearly loves what her job. Her explanation and knowledge of the sites were outstanding. She shared personal experiences and photos of certain events and sites. I highly recommend the Tour Company and Tour.

A good experience but some parts of the tour was a little rushed. The visit to Anne’s house was a decent amount of time but felt rushed at the preserve company. Could have missed out one of the other two stops which were a view of the red cliffs and sand dunes or lobster pots and how they are used. The red cliffs were no better than Sidmouth cliffs in Devon. It was interesting to see the colours of the trees in autumn and the number of fallen trees from the hurricane 3 years ago
