He has some really good recommendations for what to do on the island, so this is a perfect first activity to plan out the rest of your trip. Would definitely recommend to others!

Walk, Talk and Leared a Lot!

Lawrence_H, Jul 2026
Caroline had a wealth of knowledge that she shared with a very pleasant presentation. We passed many historical buildings and got a feel for the historical area.

Enjoyable and Informative Stroll through Charlottetown

Giosilina_G, Jul 2026
We really enjoyed this introductory walk through Charlottetown. We learned a lot of interesting things about the city and PEI in general. Was a pleasant way to spend a few hours!

Excellent experience with first hand knowledge from a local with his own stories thrown in to add to the experience.

A great way to spend your first morning in PEI!

Beautiful Charlottetown

Susan_B, Jun 2026
Ken was our guide and his family has been on the island for generations so he has great stories and fantastic knowledge to share. The first part was a lot of standing and listening to history, and I thought the whole thing was going to be in a few blocks, but then we got moving! We saw quite a lot of the town! The architecture is beautiful, the history is rich and interesting. Great tour!

This is a great walking tour of some of the city's highlights, the perfect length and amount of distance covered. Our tour guide, Caroline, was a lifelong islander and did a fantastic job mixing history, facts, figures and trivia about the island into the tour. Highly recommend if you are looking for a short and sweet whistle stop tour.

Tom was great. Local knowledge mixed with personal anecdotes. The walk was easy to do over a couple of hours.

Highly recommended.

One of the best walking tours-- lively and insightful. The leader brings his knowledge and personal history as a longtime PEI resident to provide a lot of color to how the past has shaped the way the place is today. The tour added great value to our visit!

Not what we had hoped for....

Chris_S, Jun 2026
I was very disappointed in this tour .. I moved on after 45 minutes of Charlottetown history..20 minutes standing in one spot and 20 minutes standing in another...having barely strayed from where we started. If you want a walking tour, book elsewhere. If you want a standing history lesson for haf the 'tour' , maybe this one is for you.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy the tour . The first part of the tour can sometimes take a little bit longer due to us doing general P.E.I. history . There is a decent amount of history but it helps everything later in the tour make sense as we walk along . Our 2nd stop and 3rd stop and really all our stops are pretty close together since it’s a small city and a lot of the attractions are close together . Plus it can depend on the amount of questions etc but usually we would be slightly further along in the tour but it can depend on various factors . Sorry again that it wasn’t up to your expectations, I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your time while in Charlottetown! Josh

A great tour

Nancy_T, Jun 2026
Ken is a very good communicator. His love of his country and people is evident all through the tour. He has an open mind and it is with respect and tact that he explains some of the darker parts of our Canadian history. A very interesting tour and he is only beginning his second as a guide. Thank you Ken for a great tour. Nancy & Jean-Marc

Carolyn was very knowledgeable as a tour guide. It was an educative experience. We will be back again. Loved the city and how every street connects and benches at almost every corner of the city is great one especially walking with younger kids.

Very Informative tour

Kyle_V, May 2026
Carolyn was such an amazing guide and you could tell how much she knows and loves the town. The walk was really chill and a lot of stops to rest and just admire the buildings that made Canada. I was just alone in the tour but I thought that was such an awesome time as I felt it was a very intimate tour and I could easily ask any questions when I needed. I highly recommend this tour when you're in the area.

A friendly warm, experience

Richard_L, May 2026
This is a wonderfully small tour company, so you are treated like family friends. It was a lovely experience! We were with two other couples and we could ask questions along the way. We learned so much in 2 hours! I saw other tour groups go by with huge groups, not very intimate.

Excellent Tour

Mariana_V, May 2026
I would definitely recommend this tour. Ken was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the history of Charlottetown. I had already seen some of the sites but after the tour, I appreciated them even more.

Informative Walking Tour

This walking tour presents the opportunity to not only see historical, cultural, interesting, and picturesque sites but also educates about the establishment and development of Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island. The tour was well paced. Even though I am in my late 70's, the walk was totally enjoyable with frequent stops and explanations along the way. Only one short walk was uphill with the majority of the route on fairly level ground. Our tour guide Mark was superb. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative, and personable. A longtime resident of Charlottetown and PEI, his personal perspective was interesting and entertaining. Our tour was enhanced by the beautiful October weather and the city's novel, festive, and comical fall decorations.

Lovely way to spend a morning

Tracy_B, Oct 2025
A very informative, but friendly tour of a very pretty town. It was great the way that Mark interjected a personal touch to his commentary. The tour was set at a comfortable pace and stopped at all the main points of interest with interesting & fun stories. We had a great morning in Charlottetown and enjoyed an amazing Lobster roll too!!
