Ken was a great tour guide! He was entertaining and informative, and I loved the personal stories he peppered throughout the tour. He has some really good recommendations for what to do on the island, so this is a perfect first activity to plan out the rest of your trip. Would definitely recommend to others!

Tour guide was so...

Kathleen_P, Sep 2026
Tour guide was so knowledgeable of the area going back many generations. And he was having a wonderful time.!

Disappointing

Gordon_F, Sep 2026
To be fair, the weather was awful, but after standing for 35 minutes getting the history. A walking tour should involve walking. We called it a day after about 45 mins. The guide was pleasant and maybe with a bit more experience would have made it better.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your experience. The weather did unfortunately stick around longer than expected . I believe the guide combined two stops to try and get out of the weather some . Again very sorry that it wasn’t up to par . Josh

Not what I was expecting, don’t recommend company

Nicola_H, Sep 2026
The guide tried his best and am confident he will become a great guide, but it was his first time leading the tour and he was unsupported which I feel was unprofessional of the company. We left the tour after 35 minutes stood in the same spot outside of a shop. We were only in town for 1 day and wanted to explore the town. Some of the historical info shared was inaccurate, confusing the Napoleonic and Seven Year Wars.

Response from Host, Sep 2026

Sorry to hear about your experience. As mentioned it was my guides first tour on his own but did go on a few tours with myself and another guide . Which is the standard training for the guides . Your refund will be sent to you and we will look into supporting him as much as we can . We only touch base some on the seven years war but nothing on the Napoleonic war . Again very sorry that the tour wasn’t what you expecting . Josh

A great intro to PEI and the history of Atlantic Canada

Diana_W, Sep 2026
A walk around the historic district of Charlottetown with friendly, knowledgeable local hosts. Very enjoyable way to get to know this beautiful town.

Informative Tour, but a Little Slow-Paced

Scott_B, Sep 2026
Our guide was very knowledgeable about Charlottetown and clearly knew the history of the city well. Overall, the tour was informative, but the pace felt a little slow. We spent quite a bit of time standing in one spot, particularly around the harbour, and it would have been more engaging to keep moving while hearing the stories. I also expected to hear more about the Charlottetown Accord and its significance. For families, it’s worth noting that our kids had a hard time staying interested in some of the topics and longer stops. A knowledgeable guide and informative tour, but I think a slightly faster pace, more walking, and a broader mix of history would make it even better.

Enjoyable and informative

Jo_A, Sep 2026
A good way to spend an informative and enjoyable couple of hours learning more about Charlottetown's history.

Excellent tour and superb guide (Mark).

Sree, Sep 2026
The Guide Mark for (2 PM Walking Tour of 25th August) was outstanding in his knowledge of history, area and very enthusiastic to provide right guidance.

Amazing! Ken was so knowledgeable, personable & kept us engaged throughout the whole tour. Would definitely recommend this tour & Ken as your guide!

Great morning with Ken.

Keri_A, Aug 2026
We had a great time on our tour! Our guide Ken was outstanding. A long time Islander, he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of PEI, had lots of personal stories that related to the tour. He was a fantastic story teller and really brought the history of the city to life. I appreciated his pace, his love of his province and city and how engaging he was. I would highly recommend this tour.

Nice Walk

We had Ruth as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and informative. I’d recommend this tour - and then you can back track and see places she introduce on the tour.

A super fun time!

Fun Walkabout

Tonya_A, Jul 2026
Our guide was an authentic islander having been conceived above high tide. His personal stories added much to the experience.

Local Guide makes the difference.

Wendy_C, Jul 2026
Interesting history and lovely city. Nice to have a local who knows first hand the history and insider info.

Nice reasonably priced tour

Susan_L, Jul 2026
Easy walk, interesting tour. Ruth, our guide, was friendly and knowledgable. Helpful note to others who take the tour, look for the Canadian flag flying over the pavilion in the park to mark the meeting place to start the tour. The walking directions from our phone app were not correct. The big parking lot near the waterfront park is a convenient place to park.

Walk, Talk and Leared a Lot!

Lawrence_H, Jul 2026
Caroline had a wealth of knowledge that she shared with a very pleasant presentation. We passed many historical buildings and got a feel for the historical area.

Enjoyable and Informative Stroll through Charlottetown

Beautiful Charlottetown

Susan_B, Jun 2026
Ken was our guide and his family has been on the island for generations so he has great stories and fantastic knowledge to share. The first part was a lot of standing and listening to history, and I thought the whole thing was going to be in a few blocks, but then we got moving! We saw quite a lot of the town! The architecture is beautiful, the history is rich and interesting. Great tour!

This is a great walking tour of some of the city's highlights, the perfect length and amount of distance covered. Our tour guide, Caroline, was a lifelong islander and did a fantastic job mixing history, facts, figures and trivia about the island into the tour. Highly recommend if you are looking for a short and sweet whistle stop tour.

Highly recommended.

One of the best walking tours-- lively and insightful. The leader brings his knowledge and personal history as a longtime PEI resident to provide a lot of color to how the past has shaped the way the place is today. The tour added great value to our visit!
