While lots of tours help you discover Charlottetown’s downtown highlights, not many let you set sail out into the city harbor without ever leaving your ride. On this combination land and sea tour, hop aboard a retrofitted amphibious military vehicle and relax as your driver-guide showcases sights such as City Hall, St. Dunstan’s Basilica, and Victoria Park before heading to the waterfront for a maritime adventure.

Led by a sixth-generation local, this small-group tour gets the most out of your time in Charlottetown. You’re guaranteed to see all the best sights: St. Dunstan's Basilica, Great George Street Historic District, Province House National Historic Site, and more. And with your guide’s local insight and personal touch, you’ll leave with a deeper connection to Canada’s birthplace.

Being an Islander all my life, with my family having deep roots here, you will not only learn about the history and geography of Charlottetown and the Island as we walk through the historic streets but also hear many personal anecdotes. Some of these will be about the history of the Kelly family while others will be more personal. Whether you're from here or from away I think you will leave with a deeper appreciation of the place I call home.

Charlottetown isn't just Prince Edward Island's capital — it's where Canada itself was born. This self-guided audio tour starts right at Port Charlottetown and walks you through the rooms and streets where the 1864 Confederation talks took shape, GPS-triggered so the narration finds you automatically at every stop. Highlights: - Step inside Province House National Historic Site, where the 1864 Confederation Conference began. - Hear the history behind St. Dunstan's Basilica and St. Peter's Cathedral. - Wander past Beaconsfield Historic House and the Irish Settlers Memorial. - Browse Founders' Food Hall & Market and the Culinary Institute of Canada. - Finish at the harbour front by Peakes Quay Marina. Narrated by a seventh-generation Islander, the tour goes at your own pace — pause, restart, or pick it back up later. No set start time, no group to keep up with: perfect if you're working around a cruise ship schedule or just want Charlottetown on your own terms.
