The tour provider couldn't have been more helpful. He arranged to pick us up with the wheelchair from our hotel and returned us at the end, neither of which incurred additional coat as it wasn't included in the tour price. The tour of Robben Island itself was a disappointment and very rushed and although advertised as wheelchair friendly, it wasn't. Personally, I found the bus guides commentary very self-indulgent and bordering on insulting and overt racism that seemed to leave many embarrassed by his attempt to make every white person on the bus experience guilt for the actions that has nothing to do with them.

Would have liked more time on the island

Lovely been shown around by an ex political prisoner. However, just over 2 hrs there was too little. It could never be classed as a half day tour.
