Unmissable Cape Town Experience

You can’t say you’ve fully seen Cape Town without going up Table Mountain. This was my second time up (first was ten years ago), and it still remains breathtaking. I only wish I prepared ahead to do the longer walk to make more out of the experience. The first time I came I was with a disabled relative so we were limited in how far we could go due to the rough terrain, but this year I should have prepared for a hike! I also recommend going in the morning when the queues are shorter (everyone pre pays these days so you’re not really skipping any queue) but there is a wait when you want to go back down. In saying this, the management is organised and the cable ride is only a few minutes so the wait times aren’t painfully long. All in all an unmissable experience.

Me and two of my friends did this excursion on a Tuesday afternoon shortly after lunch time. The line to get on the cable car was a little long, but it moved pretty quickly. The ride up provided wonderful views of the city. Even more beautiful was being able to walk around the top to get a different perspective from other vantage points.
