What To Expect

Confirm your abseiling experience and then head to the top of Table Mountain by cable car (own expense) on the day of your adventure. More active trip participants can also arrange a hike to the top of this famous mountain, either by taking a guided tour or on their own. Your trip start time is dependent on the day’s weather conditions and the decision of your guide, so please check with them for more details.

When you’ve gotten set up with your harness, and connected to the rope, feel your heart pumping as you prepare step off into sky. You’ll enjoy a thrilling 360-foot (112-meter) controlled descent, surrounded by nothing by the whistling wind, the cliff, and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

At the end of your extreme abseiling experience, get pulled back up to the top of the cliff. You’ll end your trip here and make your way own way back down the mountain by cable car or on foot.

What to Wear: Wear comfortable clothes. shoes and a warm jacket.
Things to Bring: Bring your camera/gopro so that you can take photos of the spectacular views whilst on your hike back to the Top. You will need water for your hike after the abseil.
Guests or Spectators: Your guests are welcome to view your Abseil experience from the top.

Awesome adrenaline rush!

Truly awesome experience. Since I recently Bungy jumped from the Blaukrans, I thought this would be much easier, but the adrenaline rush experienced during Abseiling is five times greater than Bungy. A must-do for all the adrenaline junkies out there! And the crew at the Table mountain along with their equipment make this activity even more memorable. Cheers to Tristan! I did make it alive! 😊

Sign up process was very quick and easy and we were welcomed by the guide, experience was about 10 minutes and the walk back to the top took us around 30 minutes. We didn’t have to wait long and 2 people were able to abseil side by side - would recommend!
