This is a great way to see rural Cali and the mountains. It's gorgeous and a great opportunity for people of various physical abilities. The first waterfall alone would be sufficient, and was for two people in our group. The hike is steep and requires a pretty good level of physical fitness. The second waterfall is similar to the first but for those who want to hike through the mountain, it's worth it. The water is ice cold (but your feet acclimate or freeze quickly). Water shoes are sufficient for both activities. Our English speaking guide was ill and did not show up but I was informed that morning. Luckily we had someone in our group who spoke Spanish well enough and our driver was outstanding in leading the group. My partner had wanted to "climb and hike the Andes" and though he would like to do more - this tour made him happy too. I highly recommend it. Apply bug spray! We all got bitten by something we didn't see or feel.

Juan is very knowledgeable about his culture and the rich history. He is bilingual so those who speak no Spanish would love him. He stopped along the way to purchase some local food from a street vendor which was delicious and filling . I will be touring again when I return to do his Salsa tour.

The swimming hole and waterfall is beautiful. The tour was private, which meant we were not among the masses at the park. Juan picked us up and told us about the history and geography of Cali as well as interesting tidbits. This was so much better than going to the park on our own or as part of some group tour.

Juan was an excellent tour guide for our morning trip to the river. He scooped us from our hotel and talked about the history of Cali on the ride down. So kind, funny, and thoughtful- we had an absolute blast in the chilly water! He spoke perfect English and communication was very easy. Juan even bought us some local fruit to try on our hike. Highly recommend this tour or any tour from Cali Cultural Tours!

The tour is low key in the best sense of the word. Very relaxing and a great fit if you have an afternoon flight. In fact, they will reschedule pick up and return according to your needs. Also, Juan has backup drivers just in case and knows the area well. On a weekday, I had the river for myself. I saw no debris, it was clean, and humanely cold. I claimed a sweet spot, spending almost an hour in the water and learning about Cali through Juan. Also, if you prefer for the videos and photos taken to remain offline, Juan will do so upon request.
