A day to enjoy nature and have an adventure in the Jordan river

We got picked up by a taxi and we’re taken to the Bosque del descanso, it was an hour drive from Cali! Our driver stopped for us to get a picture at a beautiful stop. When we arrived, we were greeted by the staff. We signed in and waited for the tour to begin. It did start later than anticipated but in the end that did not matter at all! Our guides Juan & Nicholas were absolutely wonderful! They were very mindful of everyone’s safety and making sure those who struggled a bit got that extra help. My niece’s Spanish isn’t strong so luckily Nicholas was able to translate! I am very appreciative of that! The hike itself isn’t bad at all! The water and the views were absolutely amazing. It was extremely refreshing after hiking. We were taken to 3 different spots, all equally beautiful. We jumped off some cliff and explored different spots. Afterwards we returned for lunch and to chill. The lunch was 10/10 ( it was the best sancocho I’ve had my entire trip) We ended our day laying in hammocks with a beautiful view of the mountain. Afterwards our taxi picked us up and took us straight home. A special thank you to Nicholas for the great convos and the laughs :) This jawn was 10/10 and I would highly recommend it! Bring a towel, water shoes (it’s a MUST..you’ll be walking on rocks), don’t pack too heavy, and waterproof bag (if you need it for electronics).
