The perfect taste of Cali

We had such a fun morning with Alex as he walked us through the streets of Cali and eventually to the Alameda Market. Not only did we get to try some amazing local snacks and produce, we also had more than the equivalent of a full meal with other traditional meat dishes. Alex was a great teacher about the culture and history of Cali, and gave great recommendations for other activities and nightlife. Thank you for such a fun day, Alex!!

The tour started with a one hour walk around some less touristy neighbourhoods of Cali. The street food tasting had a great variety including seafood, exotic fruits, tamales, local corn dishes, coffees, drinks and much more.

Nice walk through a community that most tourists may not know about or visit. Lots of information and food treats along the way. Finishing at a huge food market with even more samples. Go hungry. Recommended.

More than just food!

The group size was perfect, just 5 people. And it was more than just food, the routes between stops we'd see street murals, some statues, and talked about the history of murals in Cali. All the food was amazing, and it was nice to be able to try so many dishes and split it - so you could try a little bit of everything (and you didn't have too much of anything if it wasn't to your taste). It was a lot of walking, so wear comfortable shoes.

Had a wonderful experience and tasted my way around Cali. Got to see many parts of Cali I would not have know to visit. The tour was at a good pace and was interesting. Food was traditional and tasty. Best of all, I found some Viche to drink.

The best food tour

This has been the best food tour by far. The tour guide was polite, respectful, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We tried so many things and I didn’t expect to get full. I love the different foreign fruits. We tried some breads, cheeses, tamales, yuca, and a few drinks. Overall a 10 out of 10 experience

Alex was lots of fun. There was a great deal of food. I think I ate more food than the $17 I paid for the tour. Lots of walking involved and I think the average age was 21. A lot of students staying in hospitals. I am 72 years old. They were very nice to me. Lots and lots of fruit. Alex also explain some of the history of the city. There are very few tours in Cali, so this was fun.
