What To Expect

Meet a driver at your hotel, then head out of town to a scenic adventure park in the Baja desert. Upon arrival at the park, suit up in safety equipment, then board a cable car across a high canyon with views to the Sea of Cortez.

Transfer to a glass-bottom gondola whose transparent bottom looks straight to the bottom of the canyon, and get ready for the swing. Guides will clip your harness securely into the swing, then release you from the gondola as you start your arc. After a period of free-fall, you’ll start swinging in a pendulum with a 240-foot (73-meter) radius, flying back and forth at up to 87 mph (140 kph).

After your giant swing experience, return to base to meet a driver for the trip back to your hotel or the cruise port, where this tour concludes.

The Giant Swing is NOT what they...

The Giant Swing is NOT what they build it up to be. Yes there is a gondola ride for 3 minutes. Yes there is a swing and that 10 minute experience is exhilarating. This 4 hour excursion is built up to be MUCH more than it is.....basically Sit and wait. If you chose the bungee jump it would presumably be the same thing. The zip lining and ATV/UTV there is a full 3 hours less the line but this is a joke how it is run! You think you have paid for everything but even this one you have to pay park admission so add 15 per person, you can't just bring your camera/go pro add 10 for a camera pass. The people in front of us apparently paid off the guide cause we were the first off the bus and surprise they rushed them out for a bungee jump. we wait patiently but apparently time at the Wild Adventure park is different because be right back means 25 minutes later I will see you when I come in the office!!!! So we are now 1 hr and 15 minutes after arrival and all we've done is pay more money and get a harness on!!! So the front desk worker Karlos says he did a favor to get then out quickly they have to go. He is supposedly a supervisor, then Gene who is supposed to be his boss and highest ranking person there says its high season and its better for our group that we waited so we can go as a group without her. He is also the tour guide that was going to be right back. I could list the excuses they gave to justify the shenanigans but others not being in our pictures and waiting for their professional photographer to upload and organize photos for this same bungee jumper top the list. If you are going to do the swing or bungee drive or you are stuck there waiting for your ride while everyone else is actually in an activity! For the noon session we were the only ones doing swing and she was the only bungee jumper so arrive at noon bus departs 3:40....but please there is a full restaurant sit and eat and watch others do 8 zip lines! The kids enjoyed the experience on the swing, after an hour and 15 minutes my adrenaline had worn off and I was too irritated to participate.

This was very fun! I had a blast. The guide had a great personality and a calming presence for the gal that bungeed most of all. My fiancé and I would do this again.
