Emmitt operated our excursion and he was fantastic!! We got to see whales on our way to Chileno Bay. The snorkeling was great, with cool views of many colorful fish. We were worried about getting back in time for our cruise ship, but he timed everything perfectly and we had no rush back to the ship. We got the added bonus of viewing Los Arcos and were entertained by sea lions upon our return. Great trip, thank you!

Arrive a little early. We had some difficulty locating the store front. The tour company sent me a message the day before and told us exactly where to park. This location was very close to the store front. The other vendors in the dock were very helpful in helping us out when we could not find the store front.
Victor from the tour company saw us on the dock and called out and we were on our way. He ended up being our guide. He gave us an excellent tour along the shoreline, as well as a nice boat ride around the famous arch.
There was plenty of time to snorkel. And Victor was helpful in pointing out where to go. Bring your sunscreen!!

Victor was our captain and he was awesome! It was just me and three of my friends and we were taken to Chileno Bay and another small area to snorkel. There were no other snorkelers around and we had the spot to ourselves. On the way back to the marina we stopped to watch some whales! It was a great experience and I definitely recommend it to others!

If you are planning to take your children to this tour, do not do it! It should NOT be recommended for families with small children. The Chileno Bay and Santa Maria snorkeling adventure is extremely overpriced for the service and excitement we have received. According to the description , the tour includes snorkeling in safe and comfortable areas for kids. There were only four tourists in our private boat , including ourselves. We expected a personalized service and attention, geared towards snorkeling.., instead we were dumped in the ocean, far enough from the beach and advised that if we get tired , we can swim to the beach to rest. Also , we were advised that there are life guards there in case of emergency... I am happy they didn't forget to offer us a little cushion to wear around our waist for safety. After the crew of 2 guys dumped us in the ocean, the boat left for a scuba diving adventure . So the three of us , including my 7 year old had to make our own way to the beach. The distance to the beach was approximately 100 meters. I was in shock when the boat left. When we finally made it to the beach, I enjoyed watching the other boats hanging out there , waiting for their guests in case they need some rest from snorkeling in the open ocean. Oh and I forgot to mention about the rain and rough waters we we left in..I still can' believe they could dump us like that and leave.. Well, I should thank God they came back after the scuba diving adventure was over..and for the fact that I made it safely back..If you like scuba diving, may be this tour is for you...Nevertheless, please keep in mind, in no way it is worth paying 70 per person!!

Our guide and our captain were really good -- in their own fields. Guide was engaging and funny captain was stoic and a gentleman. Getting everyone fitted could have been done more efficiently as could identifying the meeting place. Too close to other tours with differing information. Once we were in the water, life took on new meaning. Guide was amazing with newcomers! Fish were eating out of our hands! It was a beautiful time!

Gerardo, our guide, and Enrique, boat driver, were great. We booked this with another family. We have a 10 and a 7 year old and the other family had a 8 and 4 year old had to sign a waiver for the 4 year old. It was a private boat. They provided a snack nothing big but the kids loved the bars and water. My oldest 10 years lasted more than half the time and then wanted to sit on the boat. The other three did not last that long but they got the experience. I lasted the whole time and was loving it. Much better than the group, tourist catamaran party boat. Gerardo was in the water the whole time and would dive down and guide the fish toward us. Thanks Gerardo and Enrique
