Do the tour! It is so worth it. My husband was not excited about the cemetery and ended up loving it.

A fantastic way to learn a lot about the history of Argentina. Our guide Jimena certainly knew her stuff but just as importantly she knew how to deliver it with humour and perfect English. Fascinating couple of hours and highly recommended.

We met Vicky at front gate and she took us through the cemetery. Her English was very good and she knew alot about the cemetery.
Well worth doing to understand the history.

Aside from the sheer beauty of the place it really tells a lot about the history of Argentina. And our guide, Hermena, told the stories and background information in an entertaining way. Highly recommended.

The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly and so interesting to listen to. I would definitely recommend a tour guide to experience the cemetary. Definitely worth going to

Really informative tour by Victoria, she provided a great tour with a great sense of humour, wandering round on our own would not have provided the insight she brought to the cemetery & life in Argentina.

There us a lot more to this tour than just looking at graves! Well worth the time. The guide had so mnay interesting stories including lots or urban myths.

Our tour guide was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and engaging. Great cemetery tour. Highly recommended!
Angela_S, Mar 2026
Entertaining tour with a fun and friendly guide who added a great deal more to a visit compared with a self guided walk around the cemetery.
Stuart_C, Mar 2026
Jime’s made tour very interesting with many anecdotes as we walked around. She tried to keep us in the shade as best she could

This cemetery has many family pantheons and family mausoleums in it. It was inspired by a couple of the more wealthy European cemeteries. Many of Argentina’s elite are buried there including Eva Peron. It is well worth visiting.

I was about 15 min late to my tour because I got lost, but Jimena kept me updated with the group's location and I was able to find her and join in. It was an excellent tour. You can tell Jimena is a history lover and it makes her an excellent story teller. Her English was excellent. A very interesting tour where you will learn a lot of historical facts and stories of characters.

Jimema shared all the tea about the inhabitants of the cemetery. She also discussed architectural details. Etc. Great tour, bring your own shade.

Our guide, Jimena, was very knowledgeable. We highly recommend taking a tour rather than wandering independently through the cemetery. There is so much history within these walls, we could have spent many more hours there but the tour covered a lot of it. Very well done!!

It is like a city of the dead, streets, central point with large statue, beautiful mauseleums. The stories were good. Jimena very knowledgable and as this was our first tour, the stories were fresh, the second tour in La Boca, some of the stories were repeated.
Vivian_V, Feb 2026
The cemetery is amazing. Our guide was too verbose, with long stories at the stops. We ended up leaving the group and exploring on our own.

Our guide, Jimena, was very good! We are so appreciative tours are available in English, and her English was very good. She was personable and friendly, as well as knowledgeable and able to add humor to the tour. One recommendation is for the tour information be more specific with the tour guide's name and info about the entrance. You need to get there before your tour to buy entrance tickets, then wait outside the entrance for your tour guide. There are a number of groups waiting, so a name and a name tag would be helpful in locating your group. With that said, highly recommend!

Very interesting and informative. It was about 2 hours and the time flew by. While it was a very sunny and hot day, there was plenty of shade to stand in along the route.
RobinY, Feb 2026
Good tour with good history and cultural context. Well paced despite the number of other groups touring.
Nicole_R, Feb 2026
Excellent tour very knowledgeable person, highly recommend wouldn’t be able to locate areas of interest without it
Rich_S, Feb 2026
Great tour. Our guide was even able to arrange a wheelchair needed by one of us. Lots of walking (after all, it was a walking tour). Lots of information about Argentina, its history, and the cemetery. Recommended!
Constance_M, Feb 2026
Our guide Jimena was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and obviously loves what she's doing. Her enthusiasm was contagious!

Enjoyed the funny and interesting stories Jimena shared with us. Over 2 hour tour and definitely worth the price!
Jenifer_O, Jan 2026
Jimena was a wonderful guide! Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to speak to a fairly large crowd of English-speaking tourists was perfect. We loved her storytelling in particular!!
Thomas_H, Jan 2026
Jimena was very prompt and had very interesting stories to tell regarding some of the inhabitants. Great guide you would never appreciate this location or know as much without a guide. Really enjoyed this tour
Carol_C, Jan 2026
This is a must see tour while in Buenos Aires! Our tour guide, Jimi, was exceptional. Very special and unique cemetary even better experienced with a great guide
laura, Jan 2026
A really amazing experience. We learned so much. Our guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Not to be missed.
Gail_M, Jan 2026
You can wander through this amazing cemetery on your own, but a guided tour adds much more to the experience. Highly recommend....particularly if you get Jimena as a guide. She was terrific!
Steve_C, Jan 2026
This was an informative and entertaining tour. Our guide, Jimena was an amazing storyteller! Thank you for sharing about the history and culture of Buenos Aires. A must-do for any visitor to this beautiful city!
Nicole_L, Jan 2026
Jemina was friendly and an excellent communicator (I had reached out as I initially got dropped of at the wrong spot and was going to be running abut 20 minutes late and she responded fast about the meeting location).
She was energetic, had a sense of humor, and a great knowledge of the cemetery and country. She spoke excellent English! I would recommend.
I’ve been to Latin America several times, and this is my first time visiting one of their cemeteries. It was very engaging, informative, and also seeing the designs and being around so much history!
