Lut was an amazing guide and made sure I saw everything on my list. It wasn’t very crowded when I first got there at 10am, but by noon it was packed with people! It’s Easter weekend, so maybe that’s why?

We waited for our guide at the appointed meeting place and no one ever showed. Contacted the company, based in India, via WhatsApp. They responded 90 mins later that the guide was there and we should head back to original location. By that point we had moved on.

Brugge private tour

This was the best tour that we have taken in quite some time. The knowledge of our guide (Fleur- not sure of the spelling) was so fantastic. She knew so much about every single building. She explained everything in a way that you knew she was very proud of her city and its history. She also kept the tour at a great pace as we were new to navigating on the cobblestone walks. A great experience!

Excellent walking tour, disappointing boat cruise

Doreen was very personable and had an outstanding knowledge of the history, architecture and art in the town. The tour was well organiser and well paced. She gave us good tips for further activities and things to see. The boat tour was disappointing. The comments were really minimal and the pilot was racing rather than cruising on the canals.

Good Tour But Beware of Canal Tour Portion!

Karen was a good tour guide. She knew the city well and the history. She made sure we saw all the important sites and anything else we wanted to see. I have some walking problems and she was very accommodating. However, there was a big problem with the canal tour portion of this trip. Karen was informed we were going on the canal out, but was unaware it was a part of our tour with her. She did not have any tickets for us nor did she know how to deal with the situation. Her agency was not helpful either. When I showed our Viator tickets to the canal boat people, they said no one works with Viator any more because Viator doesn’t pay them! Karen came through for us because she purchased our tickets for us and said she would try and get reimbursed later, so we have no issues with Karen. She came through and took good care of us. Karen gets 5 Stars! However, Viator gets maybe 2 Stars!!

It was a nice tour . Relaxed and good overview.of the history, architecture, art and landscape. It also included a canal tour which was nice to take after the walking tour. Beautiful old city.

Not As Described

Similar to other's experience ....... Margaret our tour guide was excellent. She took us to many of the key sights in the city, she is extremely knowledgeable and answered any questions we had, making the tour very enjoyable. The tour description lists a 1hr boat tour. We ended up organising this ourselves and the duration is 30mins, not 60nins as listed. Tour operator needs to deliver the tour as outlined/described or it should be removed from Viator.

Great Walking Tour...But No Boat Tour

This was a very informative tour but the description was very misleading. I would give it a 5 star if it had not been misrepresented. We only got the walking tour...there was no boat tour which is disappointing as this was one of the only tours promoted on this date that included a boat tour. I recognize that the weather may have been the issue (it was on the 30's all day) but the tour was more expensive than other walking tours which means we paid more for less. That aside, the guide we had was great...he gave us a lot of information about Brugges and was patient with our questions

Our tour guide was fantastic but the boat ride was only 32 minutes. Our guide had difficulty adapting to my limited mobility (request for a stop from time to time). He had a schedule and wanted to stay on it. But very nice and professional.

I will start with the positives. Our guide for the city of Bruges was excellent. He gave us a very enjoyable two hours and lots of ideas to explore later. That part of our journey was an absolute five stars. The issue is with the operator of the tour called YO. They contacted us 90 minutes before our tour to tell us if they were postponing our tour by two hours. They asked us to do the boat trip first on our own and then we would be contacted where to go later. The 30 minute boat trip that was advertised is one hour was pleasant, but we could not understand the operator the boat very well, so that was a bit of a disappointment, thankfully when we did our tour, a lot of what was highlighted helped fill in the gaps for us. we finished the 30 minute boat ride and were told to meet the tour guide an hour later. We met him and our surprise. It was supposed to be a private tour and I included another couple on our journey. We don’t necessarily mind being with another group of people , but we have paid a premium for a private customizable tour where we felt we couldn’t make any changes to the itinerary. At this point, I have contacted Viator to let them know about the issue and as of this review, I’m still waiting on a resolution. I want to say again the tour guide was excellent , and he explained to me as part of a group of tour guides that are contract and don’t work for any particular operator, which is common and a lot of cities we visit. My wife and I have done several of these types of tours in the past, and this is the first time we’ve had this bad experience that threw off our entire agenda for the day as what was supposed to have been Midday turned into a late afternoon tour and pushback. A lot of things we wanted to do the following day.

Short of Amazing

Bruges is an enchanting city and should be a must stop if you are in Belgium. This tour included a 2 hour guided tour and a 1 hour boat ride. The 2 hour tour was led by Kathy a local who was born and raised in Bruges and shared the history of the city as we wound through the quaint streets. This tour would be worthy of a 5 star rating. The reason for the 3 stars is the boat tour was not provided and Kathy was not informed by Yo Tours (or Mike Myers) that this was supposed to be included. We saw the boat tours on our walk and it would have been the icing on the cake had it been included. When I called Viator customer service to ask why the boat tour has been excluded, our tour was already in progress, and Viator asked me to contact the 3rd party, Mike Myers. Of course this was unacceptable as Viator should take care of the issue. Our friends who joined us on the tour received a $30 refund for the boat ride. We have yet to receive an email or refund. Normally these tours can be reliable, unfortunately this one fell a little short.

This is not what we got. I selected this tour, expecting a private tour. The guide was very difficult to find, I had to call her. When we dis find her she told us she had no idea about a boat ride. There were also two other groups of people With us. Not a private tour. No boat ride. Hard to find guide. We did get a 1.5 hour walking tour that was nice.....but not what I paid for.

Beware of this tour!

Though we paid for a 3 hr tour (2 hrs walking, 1 hr boat ride), we were informed when we arrived that the guide was not informed of the boat ride portion of our trip and thus, did not get to experience that part of the tour, which we were looking forward to the most. Very disappointing after contacting Viator that they had no suggestions on how to correct this when we called them at the beginning of the tour. Anyone booking this tour should be very wary of using this company.

Walking History with a VERY Quick Boat Ride

We were thrown a loop when our cruise itinerary changed at the last moment to include Bruges. Luckily, we had been there once before briefly and had connections with friends on land that were able to book our tour for us. We even teamed up with a couple from the ship to enjoy the day together. We arrived early and were afforded time to peruse the weekly market in the square before meeting our guide, Carla. We strolled around the town for less than 2 hours where she told us of its history and answered all our questions. The pace of the walking might have been a bit fast as we had guests in our party with mobility issues and I'm afraid not everyone heard all the details of the tour. Because we didn't personally book this tour, we might have missed some details in the description. For example, our walking tour ended abruptly by putting us on the canal boat that was incredibly fast and not at all informational. A prerecorded commentary was played while the driver simply pointed. Overall, it was a nice tour considering no time to research options. I was disappointed with the canal cruise because we were packed in like sardines and couldn’t really get a great view of anything and went so fast that I felt like I had whiplash while looking around.

Yo Tours = Terrible

The tour guide never showed up for our tour. I called Viator and spoke to someone who assured me that Yo Tours would call me within ten minutes. We stayed at the meeting place until 10:45am and our tour guide was supposed to meet us at 10am. I never received a phone call from Yo Tours. I purchased tickets for seven people and expect to be reimbursed asap!
