We had a wonderful day with Paula on our food tour. We were the only attendees and were grateful the tour was not cancelled and it became a private tour. We were able to get to know her and find out about life in Bratislava as well as the delicious food.

We booked the tour for 20 people and it was really nice and enjoyable. Jakob took us to four restaurants, explained traditions to us, and showed us important spots in the old town. All in all, it was a nice, entertaining day. The duration of about four hours was also appropriate and worked well. A varied tour for anyone who wants to sample the culinary delights of Bratislava.

This was an excellent food tour. Jakob, our tour guide, was awesome. He was a super nice guy- friendly, professional, knowledgeable and he loves Bratislava. All of the food was traditional Slovakian dishes and it was delicious. Another nice surprise was that you didn’t just get a bite sized taste like most food tours I’ve taken. We were served a full portion at each stop. It was the perfect balance between delicious food, fun, and learning some interesting history about Bratislava. I highly recommend this food tour and our tour guide Jakub! It was a super fun thing to do in Bratislava.

The tour was really very good. It was well paced, we explored different Slovak foods and we stopped at local restaurants you would not have stopped on your own. Aside from food we also had the opportunity to learn about the history of the country. But, let me talk about our tour guide. His name is Jakub. He was simply amazing, phenomenal. He is such a young kid you would not expect to be that good. He was a gentleman, he was very respectful, he was so polite, proper and so on. He showed patience and he shared so many relevant stories about his country, his family and the country traditions among other things. He showed interest in our background and learned a few things about where we were coming from. He welcomed us with a treat and said goodbye with another treat. If you book this tour, ask for Jakub. You will not be disappointed at all.

Foodie “Taste” not “Tour”

Honestly, I rate it poorly for the value. Our tour guide was lovely and joined us in great conversation. The food was delicious, but you literally were given a bite of everything. besides your crepe and soup. The only meat was in the entree, which you have to share with others in the group. You don’t get your own plate. Two duck legs for eight people is ridiculous. I don’t mind sharing but you only got a taste of four entrees. If I am naive, and that is what it is supposed to be on a foodie tour, you need to charge waaay less for this. I am aware of how much food costs in this city and this tour would be fair at 1/3 the price.

Good introduction to Bratislava by walking about the old town and stopping for food. More than enough to eat, but the tour started a little late at 1pm.

This was such a great tour! Tereza was an amazing guide! She was so knowledgeable and fun to hang out with! We loved all the maps and handouts and extra things she gave us! She was so well organized! We’ve done a handful of food tours in different cities and this was by far the best and most organized one we’ve ever done!! All of the food was incredible! We spent 16 days in 5 countries on this trip and the sauerkraut soup we had on this tour in Bratislava was our favorite thing we ate the whole trip!? All of the restaurants had incredible food and felt like authentic local spots. We can’t say enough good things about this tour and Tereza! Book this tour!

Awesome tour! The tour was delicious and informative. Jakub was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable of the food and history. The tour started off with MEAD! We had thin pancakes, soup, a whole meal, dessert, and drinks! Best food tour I’ve had so far!

My First Traditional Food Tour was an Outstanding! Event. Ask for Jakub! Our guide Jakub was a delightful University Student who was very knowledgeable and well polished. His explanations were detailed, informative and he was well versed in local customs, traditional foods, and often referred to how his family celebrated events with meals. He was well prepared, knew the city, its landmarks and its history.

This tour was a wonderful way to learn about the local food and traditions. Tereza shared so much of her culture and history which was very informative. Her knowledge of other places in Bratislava to visit and shop was appreciated and helpful. Then there was the food tasting. Over 4 hours of eating authentic Slovakian food. The tour was well paced which was essential given the amount of food provided. We ate, we walked, we talked, we shared experiences. Being December the Christmas markets were in full swing which added to the atmosphere. A wonderful tour which I highly recommend.

This was so fun! Our guide made the experience! She was very nice, funny and super knowledgeable. She shared personal stories about her family's holiday food traditions and made conversating with the group easy. I would highly recommend! We ate a ton of food, with a nice variety, and also tasted several local beers. It was a great night out!

Excellent tour. Linda and Theresa made an great team as they guided us through the streets of Bratislava. They explained Slovakia’s historical traditions as well as the current food scene. There were four of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

Our guide was very sweet and treated us to insightful information about Slovakia and some of the places we passed by along the way. We got to try out several typical foods and beverages, leaving us very full and very happy. I also appreciated that most of the tour took place outside of the old city center, as I probably wouldn’t have ventured too much outside of the walls without it.
