This was a great excursion. Our guide, Jarka, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us great information for the entire trip. The castle is impressive and the exhibit about the Iron Curtain and Cold War is a must see.

Jarka was a wonderful guide, with extensive historical and cultural knowledge. She was a fantastic host during both of our days/tours in Bratislava. The views from the castle were spectacular and she also found some alternative wine selections for the tasting to match our preferences. Thank you!

To start- the tour guide was so sweet and nice and knowledgeable. I booked with 3 friends and she came to us and called a taxi to take us to the castle. It was about a 15 min ride which would be a cheap taxi. Castle admission was $8 so this was a very overpriced excursion. Wine tasting is a lie- they just give you 2 glasses. We did not have enough time to drink both and there was no info given on the wine. Not in castle- on the side of a small building nearby. Photos are fake in listing.

Fun, informative and very memorable tour

My husband and I had a fun and very memorable time on this tour. From the moment our friendly and personable driver (Andrea) picked us up, the tour was tailored to meet our needs taking into account the heat of the day. We viewed Devin Castle and the beautiful surrounding area from an easily accessible vantage point nearby and discussed the distant and recent history of the area along with other topics that were of interest to us. The wine tasting at Augustin Mrazik's currant vineyard and winery was another new and fascinating experience for us and we probably took up more of Augustin's time than was allocated, but just like Andrea, he was very generous and was happy to answer our many questions while we tasted his delectable wines. Lunch with a local theme followed (not included in the cost of the tour) - deep fried sheep's cheese and the local version of coca cola. Definitely a day with a difference and one to remember fondly.

we really enjoyed our tour to Devin castle and wine tasting with Linda - it was very interesting to learn the history and the wines were fantastic! The views on the river from the top of the castle are great but also the unusual wines (made from currant) are definitely worth exploring. So I definitely recommend doing this tour if you want to explore more of Slovakia

The castle is closed on Mondays. Unfortunately, the provider has not written this on its website. In hindsight, unfortunately, we only got a lame 10€ back. But the wine tasting was very good and also the guide was very nice and could tell a lot of history.
