Head into the wild and see Carpathian brown bears up close on this 3-hour tour from Brașov. Meet your guide in the city at sunset, then journey into the Carpathian Mountains, where you'll join up with a ranger. Trek into the forest in search of a hide, then wait quietly in hope of spotting the bears that inhabit the region. You might also see deer, wild boar, lynx and other native wildlife. Numbers are limited to twelve on this small-group tour.

- At the end of the tour we can drop you off at your location in Brasov, for an extra fee. Please inform the driver about it.
- We cannot guarantee 100% that you will be able to see any of the wildlife listed above. Do not forget that wildlife have their own way of living and we, humans, try to approach them as much as possible in their natural habitat.
- The starting time is between 16:00 - 18:00, depending of the month! You will be advised by our local partner on the exact starting time with 2-3 days before the tour - pick up from Biblioteca Județeană "George Barițiu", Bulevardul Eroilor 33-35.
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

We got to see many bear footprints including mother with cubs on our way to the hide, and then we spent more than two hours watching bears, four individuals in total. It was an amazing experience and our guide was very informative.

Excellent trip. The bears were waiting for us and then they invited the fox. Also the rain held off until we got back to the car where we had left our raincoats. It was great to see the bears and the fox up close

Our dream was to see wild bears in Romania.. and thanks to this tour - it came true!! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and we felt safe the entire time. We managed to see 3 bears and a fox, a beautiful day out in nature from start to finish. Cannot recommend more!!

This was awesome! About a 45 minute drive to the spot where you get to sit in a little hut with one way windows and sit in beautiful nature and wait and watch for bears. We were lucky and saw about 5 that day. The guide was so knowledgeable and shared so much enthusiasm and love for these beautiful animals!

Highly recommend. We saw 4 foxes and 5 bears (although the bears came during darker hours of the session since they prefer dusk to be more active but the guide told us that they can appear at any time since the bears have no schedule haha) it was a very professional and a wonderful experience, the guide came on time and picked us up from the meeting location in a spacious van and was very hospitable to us throughout the event.

Tour guide and booking team was friendly- contacted us prior with meeting details etc.
Approx 45min drive each way, Unfortunately no bears to be seen despite waiting 2hrs. Very disappointing as this was my only reason I returned to Romania (as seen city, castles etc before). Unfortunately that's nature though so can't be controlled.
Saw bears in liberty sanctuary next day which us good as guaranteed but not quite same as in wild - good option if you want go guarantee seeing though.
Company refunded 50% of cost that same night due to no bear sightings which was really nice gesture (didnt even ask or say anything about no bears).
Overall recommend company as cannot fault them but just dont rely on seeing bears when sign up

WOW...we had the best time on this tour, we was desperate to see bears in their natural habitat, we arrived at the bear hide and within 10 minutes we saw a young bear, then a huge male arrived followed by a few smaller bears and foxes, we had the most amazing view from the hide and sat in silence, totally in awe, watching these magnificent animals for about 2 hours, our guide was great also, keeping us entertained with lots of information about the wildlife in Romania on the drive to and from the forest, I would 100% recommend this tour! 👌

It was described to be "with an English speaking guide." The tour subcontractor spoke English, but sent us off with a driver that did not speak one word of English. The sub had an eight person van. Four of us "seniors" we're at the pick up point early. Eight younger people, probably not all together in the same group were late, however they were given preferential treatment riding in the van with the English speaking guide. When we got to the viewing site, they were directed to the only eight chairs available at the viewing window while the four of us were stuck on chairs pulled up behind them. In my opinion, he should have only taken eight customers, but probably saw an opportunity to make a few extra bucks so grabbed a driver and passenger vehicle and squeezed in four more. Unrelated to the viewing, the toilet stop fuel station had no toilet paper, no soap and no paper towels or air dryer. Only positive, we did see bears.

After about 15 Minutes a fox appeared and stayed about 10 Minutes. After a wait we were treated to a show - first a juvenile bear came for a time and then suddenly left - shortly after that a male and female pair arrived and stayed for quite a time.

We had a great time participating in the brown bear watching experience! When we arrived, we could already observe one bear at the feeding station. In total, we saw six different bears and a fox. It was amazing to see these animals in the wild and our guide was very nice and competent!

When we got to the hide there was already a bear there! He ran off when he heard us and then about 90 minutes of patient waiting later all of a sudden 3 came at once! It's a wild habitat not a zoo feeding time so be aware you're not guaranteed to see them, but we were lucky to see 5 in total. Ali was really knowledgeable and a great guide and made sure the whole journey was safe and enjoyable.

We really liked the excursion.
The driver was on time and was very polite and funny. We drove about 60 minutes outside of brasov where me met Alex, the guide of the actual Tour.
After leaving the bus, we walked a few minutes until we reached the hide, from where we fortunately could watch two bears.
The hide was clean and the info, which Alex provided was interesting.

We saw 4 bears after only a few minutes of reaching the hide and then a bit of a wait.
Saw 9 bears in total.
Hide was only a short walk from the road. And was quite comfortable and clean
