It was nice to be driven to the castles along with a private tour from the guide. He was very informative and kept the conversation flowing with a lot of information about the areas we were visiting. I would recommend it - even in a rainy day, it was still a great experience.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience with our tour guide Traian, who truly made the entire trip unforgettable. From the very beginning, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, setting the perfect tone for the journey ahead.
What impressed me most was his deep understanding of the history, culture, and hidden gems of each location we visited. He told engaging stories that brought every place to life. It felt like we weren’t just sightseeing, but really connecting with the destination on a deeper level.
His organization and professionalism were also exceptional. Everything ran smoothly and on time, yet never.
On top of that, their enthusiasm was contagious. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does, and that passion made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether it was recommending local food spots, sharing insider tips, or adding a bit of humor along the way, they consistently went above and beyond.

Traian was very knowledgeable and took great care of us on our tour. He ensured we were given important information on the history and culture of Romania and in particular, the region of Transylvania. We were picked up promptly in a convenient location and travelled in comfortable transport, spotless inside and out.
His expertise in guiding us through the 3 castle visit was invaluable in making our trip one to remember. I could not recommend it enough! He also had a great rapport with the secretaries of the places we visited, gaining us private access ahead of the queues to make our trip extra special.
Excellent opportunities to stand and wonder at some of the region's most beautiful sites, Traian also took the time to take our pictures to ensure we kept the best memories of our time there.

Fanatic tour. Traian, who owns the company, was a fantastic guide. Encyclopedic knowledge and great delivery/humor. He adeptly navigated huge tour groups, got us ahead of (some rather testy) crowds at Pelles, and liaised with the castle staff, who clearly love him. The castle is amazing. The Sinaia monastery is small and a quick stop, but worth it. We entered during an Orthodox service but were not unwelcome. At Bran, he taught me which stalls had real Romanian goods (as opposed to fakes made abroad). Note that tickets to Bran are sold separately and that the castle does not allow guides; however, Traian gave me a great primer before I entered. Bran is, not surprisingly, VERY touristy. And not super impressive inside. Lots of other tour highlights, but too many for a review. Highly recommend this tour.

I had been really looking forward to this trip since I had booked it. We arrived the day before the trip from 15hrs of travelling with no WiFi to messages from our guide telling us to buy the tickets for the castles we were visiting. I was able to get 2 out of the 3 tickets. We were picked up as arranged the next morning. The vehicle was comfortable but no water available. We arrived at the monastery 1st, had about 15 mins there. Then the 1st castle (no tickets for this 1- we were given option to pay cash but decided not to). 2nd castle, got a short tour and short time in grounds. Then the 3rd castle- we had tickets but the wait was 2hrs long so we were told to scan a qr code to pay extra for fast track. Us and 2 other couples had problems- our money was taken but no verification of ticket. Our guide paid for our tickets ( we paid him back).Eventually we got in, approx 40 minutes later, left to our own devices in what I can only describe as a slow moving queue. Our guide gave us a 5 minute brief beforehand on the castle as he wasn't allowed into the castle. We were barely out of the castle when we got a phone call from our guide saying he had to return in his car to go back with others from the trip so we felt obliged to return to our car waiting. The only positives from this trip were the safe driving and calm demeanor of our driver and the gorgeous scenery.

This review unfortunately is a gross misrepresentation of that day.
Firstly the links for you to get the tickets where set 12 of October not 12 hours before with travel date on the 31 you had more then 2 weeks to purchase them!
Secondly water was available you didn’t ask me once for any!
Regarding the Bran castle I fail to see how this is my fault as it was there system that didn’t allow the purchase of the fastpass ticket reason, also to mention the other 8 customers on that day had NO issues. I was the one that was running around trying to help you and ended up paying cash as the castle didn’t had card options. Yes we had to leave as you booked a shared experience I repeat it was not our fault the Bran castle system didn’t work.
Also you received a FULL refund for the Bran castle tickets because I went and explained to management what happened!

Our driver was knowledgeable. He cared that people on the tour enjoyed their destinations and he found an excellent substitution when one of our locations closed. It was an improvement, in my opinion and it made for a memorable dream weekend away to Transylvania!!!

Started earlier than listed (7am), but this was good as we went to Peles Castle first before it got real busy. The tour wasn't rushed & the guide was good although a bit hard to understand at times due to accent. Peles Castle was the highlight for us, absolutely gorgeous decorations & furniture. Rasnov was undergoing renovations, so we went to the castle where "Wednesday" was filmed instead.

Really great tour in a nice van, with pick-up right by our Airbnb. The fortress was closed for repairs so we had a switch to an alternate castle location. Everything was prompt with great information, small group, with a stop for coffee and lunch. Definitely happy to be in a smaller group getting front of the line access vs large tour bus groups

The local tour company Discovery Transylvania and manager/guide Traian Bichea were knowledgeable and professional and caring and fun. He educated and entertained and spoiled us. A great tour of the castles (especially Bran) combined with an excellent recommendation for lunch and time for shopping. Highly recommend this tour and this tour company/guide.

Traian Bichea is an exceptional tour guide and driver. We were picked up from our apartment in Brasov promptly and given an overview of the tour during the drive to Sinaia, with facts of the area en-route. There were some slight deviations due to some castles being closed on the day we were visiting. Traian had some good back-up locations including Cantacuzino Castle as used as the filming location for the 'Wednesday' [Addams] TV series (as Nevermore Academy); he knew all there was to know about every location we visited. The ride was relaxed, comfortable and narrated exceptionally well between stops. Traian advised how to book tickets, became our translator when dealing with locals and also offered suggestions for lunch/drinks, citing personal experience. The whole day was paced really well, it didn't feel rushed and we were able to tailor it to our suit our needs where possible. I thoroughly recommend this tour, you won't be disappointed and you'll come away from it a more learned individual.

This was a great day. Traian was our guide throughout the day, and he gave us personal tours of Bran, Cantacuzino, and Peles castles. They are all very different and worth visiting. Cantacuzino was a nice surprise since they had listed Rasnov, but it is closed. It is in a gorgeous setting and we loved it. We felt like we got the VIP treatment, being able to go straight in with our small group of five and tour all of the places. It was a very fun day. Traian's accent was a little bit of a challenge to understand, but he repeated himself enough that we felt like we got all of the information. He also had a good sense of humor.

We were picked up at 7:30 AM so arrived at Peles Castle by opening before it was crowded. Be sure to buy your tickets online before you go. We missed that instruction that was sent just the night before. We were able to get online and get in. There are no ticket sakes on site here. Peles is the best sight as furnishings are intact and original.
Fortress was skipped and Castle C substituted.
Brân Castle is a long steep walk with many steps. Not suitable for persons with mobility concerns. But I waited below.
Our guide knew a lot of information, but was not engaging. In 7 hours, none of the 3 couples on the trip saw him smile, laugh, or ask any information about any of us. And so we asked nothing personal about him. That took away much of pleasure of having a guide.
Our tour ended at 2:30 because the 6 of us opted to return to Brasov rather than eat lunch at the Brân Castle area (which the guide said the area served expensive poor food). We were happy to be back on our own.
