Amazing, absolutely worth it, if you want to learn about thai culture in a more interactive way. You get to wear a beautiful outfit and learn a new skill.

Too expensive for what it is

For the whopping price I expected a much more upmarket venue especially since the standard at the hair salons/ beauty is so high. The experiment went wrong already as I assumed elaborate hair and makeup was included (it is not I checked the ticket). They do very basic hair. I lost more hair in the process than got any new style ideas. The ladies were defo not ladies interested in makeup. Also the dressing process was a bit clumsy and they seemed not so sure what they were doing. Make sure you bring a strapless bra as it will look ackward otherwise. The jewelry is also on the stingy side even I was the only one in the class and they could have put more. The costume is a very basic one and disappointing compared to the other ones on the road. Most disappointingly the didnt put the nail extensions! (and yes I now doublechecked this was supposed to be included). Also a pick up from IconSiam which is not mentioned in the ticket anymore and nobody email w regards to that. That tbh gave me a foul mood before I met the teacher even. She was trying very hard but the questions seemed annoying and the class was low vibe, possibly also because I was the only one there. Got really bored half way through and left. If it had been half of the price totally fine but for a high price like this dont try it. It would be unfair to other really good classes to give them a better rating.

I had a great time with Thapisa learning about Thai culture and dance. You get dressed in traditional Ayuttayan dress. During class, she took lots of nice photos and videos. Highly recommend when visiting Bangkok! 탄피사 쌤 감사합니다!

Dress up and dance!

This was a fun little activity to do to spend a couple hours dressing up and learning a couple Thai dances. They had a little snack and did my hair and decked me out in an outfit and jewelry. It was just me for the class, so it was cool to have my little one on one private dance class. The dances are very basic but takes a surprising amount of coordination. Kam was very patient with me and very kind.

When traveling abroad I try to find activities to immerse myself and connect with the culture...this dance class addresses all that and more with historical and tradition background. Jenny is a fabulous and patient teacher. She works with you not just on the dancing, but giving insight into Thai culture, the regional styles of Thai dance, the practices of the dance and etiquette, both formal and social....and Jenny keeps it light with a good sense of humor. If you want an alternate perspective on Thai culture, whether you currently dance or not, I highly recommend participating in this activity. Thanks Jenny. This was everything I was hoping for and more.

This was the most unique and culturally immersive activity that we did in Thailand! It was way more than a dance class! We got to be dressed in traditional Thai clothing, learned helpful phrases in Thai and background in the culture. Honestly I would make this your first stop in Thailand it helped us know the appropriate ways to greet and thank respectfully. As for the dancing it was so much fun!! Myself and my two kids had a blast learning and dancing. The dances can be adjusted to accommodate any dance level! This class is awesome for both beginners and experienced dancers! Beautiful day and kind instructors!

Give Thai Dance a Chance

This was more than a dance class. Upon arrival, you are costumed in a traditional dance costume, complete with jewels and headdress. Jan, the instructor offers a brief history of the various dances throughout the Kingdom. By the end of the class you will be dancing and performing Thai dance! I highly recommend this class, bring your phone to record your dancing! So much fun and appropriate for all ages.

Worth the experience!

This experience was very good and authentic. The instructor was very knowledgeable and educated us on certain Thai customs. She was nice and patient! The space is small and intimate. We were met with light refreshments! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and couldn't stop showing our family and friends the new dance moves we learned! Great value for our money!

Fun, Memorable and Interesting Solo session

Had a truly memorable time learning with Ms Jenny, she shared on the provincial dances available across Thailand and explained the differences which was really interesting. The most thoughtful part was Ms Jenny catering the session based on the participant’s capabilities. Being a dancer myself, she was able to teach more in-depth and give me more challenging movements which I thoroughly enjoy Will recommended to others and might come back myself for more

My best experience in Bangkok

i was looking for some cultural experience after many times of visit to Bangkok and find this class in Viator. My wonderful experience actually start before the class. They contacted me via email a week before the class, confirm the date and time. Provide me with information on how to get to the pick up location. (please don’t take it for granted cos I have experienced another workshop with missing information and was blamed I was late.) The school is located in the newest shopping mall Icon Siam. It start with welcome note with my name printed, drink and snack, a brief introduction of Thai folklore dance. Then I was dressed up with the traditional Thai folk dance costume with my own choice of colour. I was served like a Thai queen! 👸🏻 My host always take good care of me and be my personal translator to the dance teacher. the teacher is kind and patience despite the fact that I am very inflexible. 😆 She repeated difficult steps for my own pace. I also learn the Thai dance rituals and enjoyed very much the Thai music with the steps I’ve learned. Around 2 hours experience worth the money. After all, I don’t feel this is a buy and sell transaction at all. It’s a experience you feel personally with friends. I feel their passion and heart in my entire journey. Thank you Bangkok Dance Academy for giving me such a memorable experience. Till now, I keep telling friends around and recommended them to go whenever they are in Bangkok.
