Itinerary

After hotel pickup from Bangkok's CBD, you're transferred to the pier to board a long-tail boat at the Chao Phraya River, aka the River of Kings. If you booked a private tour at booking, you'll get a more personalized look at your surroundings with your guide.

Cruise across the river to the Thonburi side of Bangkok’s metropolis for a morning journey down the khlongs, or canals. The half-day tour offers insight on the critical importance these waterways played in the creation of Bangkok and the old capital of Thonburi, sometimes referred to as the Venice of the East. Many local communities today continue their dependence on the use of boats for goods and transportation, due to the lack of roads.

During the scenic trip, learn about life along the canals and view notable landmarks such as Wat Arun, aka the Temple of Dawn. Pass by the Oriental Hotel, Royal Barges National Museum, and Holy Rosary Church, among others.

At the conclusion of the tour your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.

Transfers are only operated within the downtown Bangkok areas and restricted to main hotels only. Regions outside the central business district such as Khao San Road, Rattanakosin, Nonthaburi, Thonburi, Minburi, both International Airports, Ratchadapisek and upper Sukhumvit (Soi 55 and further) are excluded and supplementary charges apply
For all riverside excursions (river cruises, lunch and dinner cruises, long tail boat tours and other water-based tour options), restrictions on transfers from and to booked riverside accommodation along the Chao Phraya River are applicable. Customers are requested to make it to their nearest pick-up point in the downtown Bangkok area
