Beautiful site well worth the trip

Having to wait for 45 minutes for one person returning that late for the return bus. It would be wonderful if Viator put a reminder/disclaimer on the initial booking saying that the return bus will leave at the time given by the driver. Anyone missing the return bus will be solely responsible for arranging their return to the initial pick up location. Viator, nor its partners shall bear no responsibility, nor costs should a passenger miss the return bus.

SO UNPROFESIONAL. THEY FORGOT US. We woke up at 3a.m to be on the pick up spot at 4 a.m, but no body came to pick us up. We waited because the web suddenly said that the tour started at 5 a.m. but they never came. We sent messages but nobody answered. Finally, we could call and contact the responsable of the tour. He simply said that they had forgotten us. We could not go there that day because the police needs to have a photo of your passport sent atleast 24h prior to your tour to abu simbel. We had to rearrrange our hole trip in Egypt, causing many inconvenients and a loss of money. They cancelled our tour at 5.28 a.m and they said that they would refound us but nothing. SCAMMERS!

We are very sorry about what happened as we told you we forgot your booking and you didn't send a message one day before to remind us and confirm the trip , usually people send a message one day before to confirm pick up time and they send the photos of the passports to do travel permission to Abu Simbel but you didn't do that . We have refunded you on the same day of cancelation we are not Scammers So if you didn't receive the money you can contact customer service on viator Because you didn't pay for us directly but with your credit card via the platform of viator.

Hassle Free Transportation to Abu Simbel

This is truly transportation only to Abu Simbel. Minivan(Which is quite comfortable)will pick you at your hotel at 4am in the morning.Best to contact tour operator the day before for confirmation. It is good if you are not a history buff but jus want to admire the grandeur and do photos.

Dangerous driving!

Driver was driving extremely fast on a two way highway and the van was hit by a large rock, which broke the windshield. After that the driver reduced the speed but we were pretty scared and he didn't even say a thing to us, so I wouldn't recommend doing any activity with this agency

Thanks for your review We take note about the speeed of driver but for your information The government is working for doubling the road to be 2 ways instead of one , so many trucks carrying rocks and sand to do the project so it happens that one of theses rocks fly with cars wheels and hit the glass of the windshield . We are sorry that you was scared but it is not the fault of the driver that the rock fly and hit the glass .

Guy forgot to confirm booking so was left waiting at 4am. Phoned him said he forgot despite me confirming would be one person travelling day before. Offered alternative to philae temple which is 20 mins away rather than 4 hours! I asked for refund which he accepted.

Trip without a guide to Abu Simbel.

The operator picked us from the lobby of our hotel around 4.20am and with a small group of people we went to see the temples in the minivan. The road was easy and comfy and took around 2.45 hours. AC and a very clean minivan. We didn’t have ( and didn’t want) a tour guide since all info you can read before. We arrived safely to Abu Simbel temples and spent 2 hours over there. It’s enough time for both temples. There is a coffee shop and you can order some refreshments just know that they charge way more for even a bottle of water, it can cost 20 EGP ( $1), but knowing that in Aswan you pay from 7-10EGP - it’s a lot! They charge for restrooms too, 5-10EGP. Not a big deal - but after all you get tired for paying for every single step you make. We got back to Aswan without any problems and two drivers were just great: modest and quiet. You have to provide your passport pic in order to book this tour because Egyptian officials take all serous and they control tour operator - there are two military posts in where they check the drivers and list of passengers. So, just know about it. Great operator.

Perfect, inexpensive way to see Abu Simbel - no need for a guide as they can’t come in the temple with you, read up about it online beforehand. They get you back in time for your cruise to leave if you’re on one as well.

La hora de partida puntual, hora de recojo de pasajeros normal. El problema inicia en la forma de manejar, me tocaron dos choferes uno de ida y otro de retorno y los dos haciendo maniobras temerarias, manejando a excesiva velocidad; si es un servicio enfocado a turistas internacionales, todos no estamos acostumbrados a ciertos tipos de conducción agresivo. Se debería respetar los límites de velocidad, respetar los carriles, manejar defensivamente. Buena coordinación con el tour operator.

A viagem em si cumpriu o prometido, a van chegou no horário combinado e nos aguardou 2 hs de visita ao templo, o que foi suficiente. Porém o ponto negativo é que os 2 motoristas corriam muito, andavama 130 km/h e muitas vezes na contramão. Além disso, no retorno, por várias vezes chamei a atenção do motorista que aparentava sono e piscava os olhos várias vezes.

Bonjour Très bonne excursion ! Nous avons été pris en charge à 4h00 du matin directement à l’hôtel. Chauffeur très ponctuel. Le mini bus était quasiment neuf et très confortable. Je recommande fortement cette excursion. Retour à l’hôtel à 14h00. Merci à Viator. 6 amis français de passage à Aswan.
