Can I still participate in the Palm Pleasure Afternoon Delight if I drive myself to the departure point?

Yes, the boat leaves from De Palm Pier, located between RIU and Hilton Resort. Be sure to check in at least 30 minutes prior to departure time at the Coconuts retail store.

Can I participate in the Palm Pleasure Afternoon Delight if I am arriving on a cruise ship?

Unfortunately, the scheduling of this tour does not coincide with most cruise ship arrivals. Therefore it is not recommended for Cruise ship guests.

You will snorkel at the crystal clear and calm waters of Boca Catalina as well as the Antilla Shipwreck; one of the Caribbean's largest shipwrecks. Corals and tube sponges have colonized the wreck, which attracts sea turtles and many species of fish.

Great atmosphere and fun crew. The specialty drinks were delicious, the music was fun and the view was amazing. The sunken ship was amazing to see and my kids loved it. We saw a sea turtle and lots of fish. Would definitely do this adventure again.

Walk down the walkway between the Hilton and RIU Palace. You will see the Coconuts Gift Shop on De Palm Pier. Enter the Coconuts Store and go to the counter to check-in for your activity. Check-in for the activity is 30 minutes before the activity start time.

Itinerary

Head to the pier and board a luxurious 70-foot (20-meter) catamaran and set sail on the turquoise sea.

Grab a drink from the open bar, then find a spot on the sundeck or in the shade of the cabin. Watch the coastline of Aruba recede as the boat heads out towards the SS Antilla, a German freighter that ran aground during WWII.

When you reach the wreck, slip on the provided mask, snorkel and flippers and jump in. Follow your knowledgable guide around the ship as they point out the many varieties of coral and native tropical fish that have made the sunken freighter their home.

After enjoying Aruba's underwater seascape and the boat's open bar, head back to land.

Optional Upgrade: 'Snuba' allows you to breathe easily underwater, but doesn't limit you to floating on the top. Follow a certified Snuba guide to a depth of 20 feet (six meters) for a dive. No snorkeling or scuba certification is needed.

Great snorkeling trip along the west coast of Aruba. Fun crew and comfortable boat. Snorkeling was good at both stops, but the ship wreck stop was amazing. Great variety of fish and just very cool to snorkel above the wreck. Saw sea turtles up close at both stops. Tasty snacks and good drinks. Only complaint was that the crew collected snorkeling gear from the inside of the boat at the 2nd stop while people were on deck. So 1 person from my group didn't get to go snorkeling at the wreck as she had no mask or snorkel. Crew should wait until the boat is under way back to port to collect gear. Other than, that it was a fantastic excursion and highly recommend it.

This was the second time that we booked our snorkel trip with this company. The crew is very friendly and helpful and will even get in the water with you if you’re not comfortable going into the water to snorkel alone. The food they serve is very good and they don’t restrict you on how much you want to eat or drink and there’s many available drinks that they offer. Snorkeling with Palm Pleasure

Fun afternoon with the Palm Pleasure crew! Boat leaves from de Palm pier, which is between the Riu and the Hilton. Pier (and beach) access is via a sidewalk (labeled with de Palm Pier archway) just past Riu delivery entrance. This tour was exactly as advertised - snorkeling in 2 spots (shipwreck, lots of fish and a few turtles) and an open bar for the entire 3 hours. The crew also provided snacks in the form of hot dogs and a variety of sandwiches (enough food to be called a light lunch). Before booking the Palm Pleasure, we checked out other snorkeling providers in Aruba’s hotel zone, one of which we had taken on a prior visit and all of which visited the same snorkeling spots. We selected Palm Pleasure because it is a catamaran (vs another type of boat) and because of the snacks (wanted some food with the beverages). We’ll definitely do this one again!

Crew was friendly enough but the snorkel experience itself was not at all what we expected. Basically anchor down in an area where there are multiple other boats doing the same thing. 50+ ppl get off the boat and you pretty much spend the time trying not to swim into each other. Too congested. If we had the chance to do it again we’d had spent the extra money and booked a private excursion.
