      We’ll meet at the AYERS HOUSE, a beautiful heritage mansion at the eastern end of North Terrace, in the CBD, with a lovely garden and plenty of space to pull up with the car and hop in safely, away from the city traffic. If you’re coming by tram, there’s a stop right at the entrance to AYERS HOUSE.

    • HIKE KEY FACTS AND FIGURES. This is an intermediate-to-hard hike: we will cover approximately 10km over 6 hours, with a 500m elevation gain. You will encounter steep inclines and uneven surfaces, so a good level of fitness is essential.
    • FITNESS REQUIREMENTS. Hikers MUST have a good level of physical fitness and mobility.
    • MEDICAL RESTRICTIONS. This hike is strictly not suitable for hikers with heart problems, serious medical conditions, or a history of unresolved back, knee, or ankle injuries.
    • SUN PROTECTION. For sun safety, we recommend long sleeves and pants, a wide-brimmed hat, and sunscreen.
    • WHAT TO BRING. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and carry a small daypack for your personal items. In the interest of sustainability, please bring a refillable water bottle.
