Informative tour of Adelaide Oval. Bonus was watching the Crows train while waiting for the tour to start.

Worth every penny, very interesting from start to finish - not to be missed - Bradman Collection is excellent - go inside the scoreboard, sit in the media centre, hear all the history - marvellous

An ACT cricket tragic and an architect for many years, I have watched many exiting cricket matches at the magnificent Adelaide Oval. I always enjoyed the cricket and the architecture equally, a win-win for me! Thanks for the great tour.

Tour exceeded expectations, Brenton was a good guide of Adelaide Oval. He loved his job or passion for a sporting ground that he has grown up with. The tour was ment to go for 1.5hrs but Brenton was that good it went for 2hs

Amazing to see the place with the very experienced tour guide and to see where the players put their energy and effort into making the game a success.

Don’t miss out on doing it. We had the best guide on a wet and windy Adelaide day,
His sporting knowledge together with sense of humour made this the best sporting venue tour we have done.

Group of 15, guided by an Adelaide Oval volunteer around the grounds, including Sir Don Bradman collection, Adelaide Oval Hotel, Bespoke bar, historic scoreboard, cricket changerooms, Sheffield Room, cricket media room, Moreton Bay fig trees, multiple statues. Super informative and knowledgeable session. An experience to treasure, right in the heart of Adelaide.

We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The tour was informative and fun. A great opportunity to see behind the scene of the oval and to see the workings of the scoreboard.

A great tour of Adelaide Oval with a look in the scoreboard.
Friendly Tour Guides who are very knowledgeable of a great history of Adelaide Oval and South Australian players

Sensational tour with Chook who seemed to have a tremendous amount of knowledge and enthusiasm for the Oval and local sports. We feel lucky to have spent such a wonderful amount of time walking around an iconic landmark

It's a great way to see sport from the otherside how players prepare for their game and media bring it all to life

I was really excited to do this tour but became a bit apprehensive when I read a few reviews last night well I am glad to say I loved it. Visiting the Oval was a beautiful experience, walking through the stands, behind the scenes and putting all my years of cricket watching into perspective was exactly what I needed on a cold and rainy Adelaide day. I highly recommend the tour and I would definitely revisit with my family might even stay at the hotel. Big thanks to Tony our guide his real life experience and knowledge was shared with all and I hope that the next generation continue on the tradition of the beautiful Adelaide scoreboard. Really loved it!!

We did this Viator guided tour of Adelaide Oval on Easter Monday 2025. It was one of the best guided tours I have done, though I may be biased with my entire review as I am a crazy cricket lover/fanatic and Adelaide Oval was one of the very special grounds I always wanted to go behind the scenes and get a glimpse of history and geography. Big shout out to Alex and Tony who were the tour guides for our tour, I was part of the group which Alex took around. Alex was just fabulous, the knowledge, the passion and the love for the Oval, the games that happened there came out every time he spoke, or I asked a question, which he welcomed with a smile! We went to the media box, then to the Lounge from where we can see NFL change rooms, then to the Victor Richardson gate dedicated to the same sportsperson (got goosebumps when Alex mentioned the versatility of the sportsperson), then the corporate lounges which has a restaurant open to general public, then went to see the old scoreboard both from the outside and inside its belly and understood the operations of the manual scoreboard, bit of history of the trees on the north Adelaide hills part of the ground which has trees but no sitting stands, then to the members area which was just a beautiful old architectural marvel, the Sheffield room with its memorabilia and finally onto the oval greens sidelines (dug out of the teams) which to me was the moment of the entire tour, to be at the same ground level on the extra-turf where the greats of cricket had fielded sealed the deal for me! Felt bloody proud of my cricketing heritage when I saw multiple centurion names of Tendulkar, Kohli, Lakshman, Sehwag and Pujara on the honour board, along with my fav Aussies boys like Ponting, Waugh, Gilly. Finally, there is a mini-museum of Sir Don Bradman inside the stadium, we did a relaxed visit of the museum and that brought back memories of my trip a couple of years back to Bowral Bradman Museum in NSW which is Sir Don’s home and initial birth of cricketing career where the whole time is like a museum.
Overall, the best guided tour of my Adelaide trip and would definitely recommend any cricket lover this tour as a must do!

A complete 360* tour of Adelaide Oval enjoying how it operates for cricket and football, as well as the history behind its beginnings. Allen answered all our questions. Loved learning how the original score board works. Even get to walk out onto the edge of the ground. A must do for sports fans!!
Glenys_T, Mar 2025
The oval is very impressive & we very much enjoyed the tour. It would have been better if the guide had a microphone, as he was hard to hear.
Paul_C, Mar 2025
The setting of The Oval was excellent. Enjoyed the tour, but too many access issues. Too much concentration on AFL.
rogerl666, Mar 2025
Learned about about the history of Australia and more specifically Southern Australia cricket and AFL history. Great tour for any sports fan. Tour of the inside of the mechanical scoreboard was a highlight.
Christopher_Z, Mar 2025
Staff all very welcoming with a chance to visit the Bradman Museum before the tour starts. The tour guide was very informative and took us around the ground at a leisurely pace. Even got inside the very famous score box to see how everything works. A thoroughly enjoyable way to spend 90 minutes and catch up on Cricket and Football sporting history
Julia_Z, Feb 2025
Tour exceeded our expectations. Very thorough and covered a lot of the Oval areas that we did not expect to see.
Malcolm_S, Feb 2025
Ian is such a knowledgable tour guide and teaches so much about the history of this great oval. The experience was amazing with being able to go upstairs and into the iconic cricket scoreboard whilst a game of cricket was being played was unforgettable
Lesley_W, Feb 2025
Very informative tour, seeing all round the stadium. Went into the scoreboard - which was fun to see how old that section is.!!! Very nice facilities and our guide Tony was very nice. Good few hours out for cricket fans.
Jennifer_c, Jan 2025
Excellent guide - very informative. It was great to see behind the scenes of parts of the oval we have never seen before.
Yen_L, Dec 2024
Couldn’t have predicted having to pay for such a terrible experience. We had to listen to David talk about himself for almost 2 hours ….. nearly touching shoulders with Bradman x number of times isn’t really meeting him. Stick to the script.
This peanut thought it funny and appropriate to mention an “Asian lass” and how he laughed at how her mother was made redundant from SA Water???? WTF!?! Seriously how is that even relevant to this tour. This is NOT the footy field!! We need to call this out and name and shame!!
Shame on you David!!
David_S, Dec 2024
Really interesting tour of a beautiful stadium. A very knowledgeable guide and the small group made access easy and informative. Highly recommend the tour.

The manual score board!
Terry was a great guide.
