Great tour but not a fan of lunch

The tour was well organized and enjoyable. My guide, Kim Ji Song, was did a great job managing 30+ people, giving recommendations, and telling us some history to Busan. Everything was well timed to avoid lined and crowds, which I appreciated. My only negative review is the lunch. Understandably, we went to a seafood restaurant with VERY minimal non-seafood options (I don’t eat seafood). It’s also important to remember that lunch is not included in the price (which I had forgotten and we weren’t reminded). I was a solo traveler and sat with three other solo travelers to not have to eat alone. We ended up splitting one of the options meant for 4 people, but it was VERY expensive for what it was. I spent US$30 and barely ate anything. Another woman in my group also only wanted one part of the share meal. Overall, lunch was not worth the price. I take accountability for forgetting that lunch wasn’t included and agreeing to this shared meal, but a reminder ahead of time would have been nice. Also a restaurant with more than one non-seafood option.

Amazing Busan

Full day exploring key highlights of Busan in a small group of 6. We were really lucky to have Nick as our guide. Knowledgeable and with a good sense of humour, really made the day totally enjoyable. As it was our first full day in Busan, really gave us a chance to see and experience so many different places. It's a full day and Nick managed the pace really well. Nick has a plan B for every location when traffic and parking is challenging This is a great tour to enjoy Busan and have insight provided by an experienced guide. Definitely worth the extra money over the big bus tour options. If you can, get Nick as your guide.

If you can get Art as a guide, please do. He’s a local but went to school in Texas so he’s very fluent in English AND he has a nice car. Very flexible with plans and was very happy to help with accommodating my mobility issues. We were totally impressed with Busan. It’s a not to miss. Don’t forget to purchase Korean skin care.

Best one day highlights of Busan! Including sky capsule

Yaho was our driver and tour guide and he picked us up at our hotel. He grew up in Busan and loved to share his knowledge of his city. At the Haedong Yonggungsa temple stop he took us in a different way through a bamboo forest path which avoided the entrance crowds. Beautiful temple up high on the sea. He was attentive and helpful to us at all times. We went to a waterfront restaurant he recommended after the Skywalk. The Sky capsule seats 4 and goes along a train track along the sea and was well worth it. Next stop was Dakbatgol hillside village which has a free monorail (let any village residents ride first) or steep stairs your choice. In Gamcheon village he took us on the route to collect all the postage stamps on the map. He dropped us off at Jagalchi market on the way home instead of our hotel at our request. A day well spent with only 12 passengers! Loved Yaho!

The best Gyeongju day tour!

Our guide, John Jin, is an outstanding tour guide. He took us to the best sites for our time frame, making sure we could get in without too many crowds. He is so knowledgeable about Korean history, and it was a delight to listen to him share this information. He was so pleasant and patience with us, and we truly enjoyed our day with him. John is also a seasoned scholar, and took an interest in my desire to learn more about the Korean language. Even so much, that he made the effort to gift me with a book to help me with my studies. What a caring and thoughtful thing to do! I highly recommend taking a tour with John. Our visit to Gyeongju would not have been the same without him. Thank you so much, John!

You probably tried booking online and left it too late, and now you’re looking at packages which include the Sky capsule. Look no further, this tour allows you to ride the Sky Capsule at a perfect time of the day, and then allows for additional stops to see other interesting if less spectacular sights. Our Korean guide Christina speaks impeccable English and has an energy level and aura which really lights up the tour. Solo travellers feel welcome and everyone on the tour has a great time. The organisation is smooth and there are opportunities to leave the tour earlier in the evening once the capsule ride is over, but you miss out on the other parts of this excellent tour.

Great tour and guide

Our tour guide, Daisy, did a great job explaining things to us and was incredibly thoughtful and nice. While she was not completely fluent in English, she got the points she wanted to make across to us. The sites on the 4-hour tour were great. Unfortunately, our tour was on a Saturday and traffic was quite heavy, which delayed some of our arrivals to sites. This was obviously not the fault of the driver, Daisy or Viator.

If you have one day for Busan, this is the experience you want!

From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and taken to the train station. Our driver explained what to do when we came back this evening to get back to our hotel and the took us to our seats. When we got to Busan, Mira met us as we got off the train. She was so welcoming and friendly and as we began talking, I explained to her that I am a Korean adoptee - born in Busan and this was my first time to Busan since then. She made this special day absolutely unforgettable. She showed us around and gave us time to take it all in. She never made us feel rushed and she took so many pictures for us! One of the coolest parts for us was at the Jalgachi Market - eating lunch and then walking around after - so glad we waited til we were in Busan to buy hotteok! Honestly Mira made us feel so comfortable throughout the day, on our way back to Seoul, my husband and I discussed how we felt like we were spending the day visiting with a friend. 미라, 감사합니다!
