We LOVED this tour! Having visited Venice a few times before, we wanted to do something a little different on our last day there this trip, so we booked the Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. Asia, our tour guide, was great! Not only did we eat cicchetti and drink local wine and other drinks at several bacari, but we also gained new insights from Asia as we walked around Venice. And it was great to be away from the bigger crowds in the more touristy areas. We chose the 11:30 tour so it would serve as our lunch, and it was perfect. We highly recommend this tour.

Beatrice, our guide for the tour, made contact the day before with her personal contact details which was reassuring. At the start of the tour she created a friendly atmosphere which lasted throughout the whole experience. The tour was well paced and very informative as well as a lot of fun! We visited different types of food places to try different types of chicetti which is a small “bite” - unique to Venice. There was a choice of both the food and drinks at each location meaning different tastes and needs were catered for. Beatrice took photos at each location which created a lovely memory and which were forwarded afterwards. All in all, highly recommended!

Great food tour! No need to eat dinner before or after - lots of wonderful food to try with very generous portions. Delicious wine at every stop! Our guide, Levi, was outstanding. She was so much fun!

This was a fun tour that took us to some places we likely wouldn’t have explored on our own. The food and drinks were more than enough and everything was delicious. Once we learned some basics about the local food and drink culture, we felt more confident in branching out to other non-touristy areas during the rest of our trip and we experienced some amazing food at places frequented by the locals rather than just tourist trap food. Start your visit with this tour & it will give you more confidence to explore on your own. Well worth the price!

A fantastic, interesting and authentic tour of the best secret food spots in Venice…well worth the time and the most amazing tour guide, the Sicilian pocket rocket Emma! We were in great hands from start to finish, fantastic food choices, great wine/drinks options, we couldn’t have asked for better. We spent time in the residential part of Venice, so away from the tourist traps, nothing better! We rolled back to the hotel after 3 hours, full of great food and wine. Tip - don’t eat breakfast!

So much fun!!! We had drinks at all the stops besides gelato at the end. Nicola was such a great host. Told us personal stories. Took us to place throughout his life, from a toy store from his childhood to he’s favorite spots for food and drink. Will recommend and do again.

Food was excellent. Had wine at each of the 4 stops. Only one restaurant had seating for us. Did not like standing outside to eat and drink, although the weather was nice.
