What are people saying about Venice

Great side trip from Venice if you have the time.
We would definitely recommend this trip. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable & did a great job giving us background on the islands in the lagoon & the industries on the different islands. It brought the growth of Venice & how the lagoon islands fit into the day to day of Venice to life. We enjoyed watching the beautiful glass making in Murano and the colorful island of Burano charmed us. Keep an eye on the clock for lunch. Can get a little close.

Great introduction to the Dolomites. If you have never been, do it.
It was a quick getaway to the mountains from Venice. In an hour we were into the pretty pre alps and then another hour into the Dolomites proper which are stunning and even more beautiful than the Alps in my opinion. We enjoyed the views. Our driver knew the area well, made impromptu stops for pictures and some for a brief background history before he would drive to our stop. We spent time in Cortina and then at Motrin’s lake at the foot of the Tre Cema de Lavaredo park for lunch. There was ample time to walk around the lake after lunch. The views across the lake in every direction were amazing. Then we stopped in Auronzo to look at another beautiful lake. And then for our final stop we stopped in Longarone for some yummy ice cream.

Outstanding
The experience was outstanding. Even though the weather was not the best, with rain and cold temperatures, especially for us being Floridians from Miami, we truly enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Ariana did an amazing job explaining the history of Venice and combining it with her own personal experiences, which made the tour even more special and interesting.

Good small group tour of Murano and Burano
This was a fun way to spend a day. Our small group was first taken by a private boat to the island of Murano. We saw a short glass blowing demonstration, which was interesting. We then walked around their shop which had gorgeous glass pieces followed by time to stroll Murano. After that, we were taken by private boat again, to Burano. There we saw a short lacemaking demonstration and had a lot of time to wander the area, to see the colorful buildings and have lunch. I also chose to see the lace museum, which was an interesting way to spend half an hour. From there, we met up at our assigned spot and took a private boat back to Venice. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the tour felt well organized.
