Waist of money. We bought skip the line tickets which cost double the regular tickets, and we were asked to check in 20 minutes earlier which we did. However we were delayed in each step of the way and we had to do lines. We checked in at 10:50, our tickets was at 11:15, and we didn’t get in till 12:15

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that sometimes delays in the queue are caused by the Vatican regulations and staff. On busy days, they are forced to limit the flow of people coming in, and we have no influence on this. We are truly sorry that we could not do more for you.
Wanted to point out, If you decide to buy a ticket at an official ticket office, you will have to queue up to 500 meters (0.3 miles) and the waiting time can be as long as 2 - 2.5 hours under the scorching sun in 38 degree heat with no shelter.
We apologize for the delay, but we are sure we were able to make your visiting experience better than if you had waited in line.

we had a tour at 5.00. They delayed to take us to the Vatican Museums 30 minutes. They didn't have the tickets earlier and they bought the tickets for the whole group when we arrived there. I mean what's the point?

It was very easy to find the office where you exchange your only tickets and the people at the desk were very friendly. We didn't wait too much to enter the Vatican museums.
It is worth visiting the museums and the Chapel.
However keep in mind that it is overcrowded and there is no A/C or ventilation in the museums, it's super hot! Only the Chapel has A/C, but is so overcrowded you can't really get a good look.
Despite the heat and lack of oxygen, the Vatican is worth a visit.

Plane was delayed and took 3 hours to get rental car. Was not able to make the Vatican tour. Instead of refunding us or providing any sympathy, we did not get a refund and was told there is nothing they can do.

This was the strangest ticket "offering" yet. We did not "skip a line", we were simply herded an screamed at like cattle in a large group, all the way from their offices to the Vatican, and made to wait while the guide purchased tickets like a regular person at a regular counter and handed them out to us. They charge about 4 times the price of doing it ourselves, and there was literally no extra benefit. They purchased the tickets right in front of our eyes. I've been to the Vatican 3 times and usually buy on-site, and only did it this way for fear of crowds or tickets being sold out. We didn't bypass any queues or go to any special counters. A complete scam, no idea how it's legal and everyone in our group was shocked and confused.

Her tour was anticipated by half an hour and had been advised and she replied that she could anticipate, otherwise we would have refunded her even earlier or rescheduled to another time that was better for her. Despite your acceptance, you arrived late and we still lost the cost of your reservation. But as it was our responsibility to move the tour, we still gave the refund. Unfortunately, I can't tell you the necessary bank times in which the refund will be credited to your card, but the refund will certainly be credited back. We sincerely regret taking this bad review despite the refund and through no fault of our own!

It turned out that fast track was 90 minutes.l (not so fast). Once we finally received our tickets and the audio guide device we were on our own. Save yourself some money, arrive early and do all of this on your own.

Dear customers, maybe your watch didn't work well, because you are entry from the entrance of reserved customers at exactly time. After the entrance, Inside the Museum you need the normal time to change the reservation to have your tickets and go to take the audioguide. But you have not take other 2 hours of line from the normal entry without reservation.

The beginning was very hectic. They changed our start time from 10:30 to 11:00 and when we arrived it was full of so many different groups and very disorganized. We had no clear idea of what to do or where to go. But when we finally arrived at the Vatican museum everything from there on worked smoothly

The operator asked the woman i was with to stand up while we were waiting in the office, then proceeded to look her up and down. The man with her explained they wanted to know if she was pregnant!! She is not and was embarrassed and humiliated. They could have asked discreetly if they really needed to know but to have her stand up and looked at like that was awful.

We booked this unguided tour on the basis that, if you are in Rome, you have to see the Sistine Chapel. You have to walk the full length of the museum (a very long way) to reach it, then walk the full length back to get out. There are some beautiful objects and rooms on the way but by the time we reached the Chapel we felt slightly underwhelmed by it.
The tour was organised by Checkandgotours. The organisation was not great with little information about what would happen and the office was not easy to find. When we entered the museum the arrangements were confusing and we were left standing around not knowing what was happening. This was not helped by the fact there were two parties together, one guided the other unguided. The lady in charge was abrupt and uncommunicative. Fortunately, the young man with her was more helpful.
A 'must do' but not a great experience.

We are sorry that navigating the museums was too much for you. Unfortunately, there’s nothing we can do with the layout of the museums.
Should you booked the guided tour instead, you could have had the option of visiting St. Peter’s Basilica without having to queue again and you wouldn’t have to walk the full length of the museums twice to get out.
You also mentioned you booked the skip-the-line tickets and not the guided tour, as per the option’s description, you will be escorted to the entrance of the museums to get your tickets and maps then you’re free to roam the site on your own.

We have been to the Vatican several times before, the last time only 3 years ago. But the grandkids had never been so we went again. This tour does everything you need and nothing more. (so much cheaper)
You buy your tickets online. You go to their office. They take you to the nearby Vatican and get you quickly and easily inside, then you do what you want. It turns out the Egyptian part of the Vatican museum is quite good. We never saw it on our tours. Rick Steves has an excellent free downloadable audio guide to the Sistine Chapel. St. Peter's Basilica is free. See the Pieta, climb Michelangelo's dome, etc. Don't waste your time on things you don't care about with a guide who may or may not be good.
Our hotel was near the Colloseum (an hour walk), and we had 4 kids, one on crutches. So we were a little late. No problem. They just put us with the next group and couldn't have been nicer. Great deal! Nice people!
We also went in the afternoon, which, while still crowded, was better than our prior morning tour experience.
