A wonderful journey through the history of British royalty, and amazing architecture dating back 700 years.
The Abbey was beautiful, but it was very crowded. We took the self tour and because of the crowds it was difficult to follow. I would suggest a private tour.
We purchased entry tickets and received an audio guide when we arrived. Beautiful and breathtaking historical church with so much to see. We arrived in the afternoon and didn’t even get to see all of it since there are so many parts. We also had the unique opportunity to attend church service there after the visiting hours closed and the choir was amazing. Definitely recommend going!
The abbey was very crowded but couldn’t find my guide anywhere despite meeting where I was told. Arrived 30 minutes before the tour time . Nobody was able to direct me properly. Called and texted with Viator personnel who were very unhelpful . Very disappointed . Tickets were finally sent and winged it ourselves .
It gets rather warm in side during peak season. Take pictures and enjoy all the stained glass. Lots of history.
Such a wonderful experience. The history was mind blowing. I couldn't image visiting London without touring the Abbey
This is a must see site in London. The history, the monuments, and the beautiful architecture were life changing
Travelers should not worry buying tickets/tours with Viator! Totally legitimate and very very professional and helpful!!! Traveling abroad can cause much anxiety; with Viator one has no worries! Well Done I say!
The directions as to where to enter were not very clear. Gate attendant wanted to see our tickets, but we were not sent tickets, only a voucher. When we were finally in the right line to enter, the ticket window person had our name on a list and she printed our tickets. The audio tour was not that informative. A guided tour would have been much better based on what we overheard as guides were giving their tours.
The audio was a bit confusing but staff were helpful. The Abbey is an amazing experience and I recommend to all
You need to spend several hours there to see everything. So much history! As an American, it’s hard to comprehend a history that spans over one thousand years.
Westminster Abbey is absolutely spectacular. It was awesome to visit the site of so much history and beauty. We found the audio tour to be well done, but, poorly laid out. It was extremely difficult to find the location described on the audio tour. I saw only one or two placards indicating which number on the tour to listen to for a specific area. This was possibly due to the crowds. Nevertheless, it made the audio tour nearly useless. Disappointing. There are much better ways to get this done.
Long wait to enter the cathedral, about 45 mins to over an hour, after your ticket is validated. Plan on spending 3 hours after your arrival.
The original time that was sent to me was a 1:30pm start for my tour. Without my knowledge, it was switched to 9:30am, so we completely missed our tour! Terrible experience!
I did not get what I paid for. It was suppose to be a guided tour. I was at the location half hour before tour. I was told to get into a line. Asked for help numerous times. When I got in they said there was no one there to help us. I paid 212.00 dollars. Was given a receipt for 82 pounds. Very disappointed. What a reimbursement.
When I walk into an architectural wonder like this I am simply in Awe. You should not miss this stunning experience. The earbuds they provided gave the history of each room. My husband and I came in from Florida, took the train and uber to our hotel and walked to Westminster Abbey for our 2:45 tour and we came out very happy. Tired but happy.
The Abby is beautiful however it is very crowded. There is not great crowd control We had to pay extra to visit the Coronation exhibit upstairs which is not much different than what was seen at Tower of London.
We enjoyed the self-paced tour of Westminster Abbey. Lots of history and lots to learn. The staff were helpful and friendly.
We did the tour with the beef feeder and visiting the Crown jewels. The beefeater tour is short. That person is there to answer your questions and depose with you for pictures. The person we had was extremely friendly. I think the person‘s name was Gary. All of the beef feeders seem to be very knowledgeable and very friendly, however, that part of the tour was very short. The rest of the tour was disappointing most of the crown Jules that we expected to see were not there. In fact, only a handful of Jules were there. It does make sense. Some of the jewels that you might expect to see or rather large and extremely priceless. However, it was very disappointing only seeing a handful of crowns and a few rings. Maybe also an inspector or two. Maybe also a specter or two. The jewels that were there to be seen were fake. The jewels that were there were fake.
The Abbey is a holder of history. The stain glass is magnificent and the history of England is buried here. The Abby architecture is like no other.
It was a very interesting self guided tour. The pace was just right. There were more crypts than I expected but still enjoyed the tour.
Absolutely a piece of history and extremely gorgeous . So much history to see and learn it’s overwhelming
Excellent. Due to a health issue they moved me to the priority
Entrance. It took 10 minutes to enter, instead standing in line.
The audio tour allows you to set the pace and explore at your leisure. I did find it difficult to find the station numbers for some of the stops.
It was a wonderful experience inside Westminster Abbey. It is amazingly beautiful and there is so much history to hear about. A definite “must do” when in London.
Make sure to look at the names on the floor to find some famous people buried there. Scientists and poets from sorta modern times
We didn’t know about the upstairs tour so I missed that opportunity. it is such an incredible building. It was impossible to take in all the sites information.
Try to get in the queue early if you have the first time slot of the day. This is only the ticket, there is no tour guide to meet like the instructions state. Just go to the queue.
My husband and I were waiting at the area Dean’s Yard to meet with our tour guide. We did not locate him. I then called him and was not able to understand him and where he was. After speaking to him by telephone, his number was removed from the site so I could not contact him again, nor able to message him. I was able to get into Westminster Abbey with tickets. I would like to be refunded for my tickets since we paid for a tour guide and did not have one for the tour.
Be extremely careful when booking - the default date thar fills in might be incorrect and Noone will help you once booked. I wrote to both viator and the tour operator but noone helped. This is the problem when dealing with a computer rather than an actual person.
