⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic experience at Holyrood Distillery! What I loved most is that it’s right in Edinburgh, so it’s incredibly convenient if you’re visiting the city and don’t have a lot of time to travel outside the area. The whiskey and gin tasting was excellent, but for me, the best part was the personal interaction. The groups aren’t very large, which makes a huge difference. You’re not just standing there listening to someone give a standard presentation — you can actually ask questions, and they take the time to answer them and explain everything in detail. That’s really where everything clicked for me. I finally felt like I understood the whole process of creating whisky, the Scotch whisky tradition, and how gin is made and developed. The explanations were clear, interesting, and easy to follow, and you could tell that the person leading the experience was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. The tasting itself was great, but the combination of knowledge, interaction, and accessibility is what makes this experience stand out. If you have limited time in Edinburgh and want to learn about Scotch whisky and gin without leaving the city, I strongly, strongly recommend Holyrood Distillery — 2,000% recommended! 🥃🍸 One of the best experiences we had in Edinburgh!

I have NEVER had a bad experience using Viator or trip advisor so this was my first. It was very disappointing. Young distillery trying to build but offering overpriced samples with a sales pitch is not good business. Tour guide was more of an actress than educator.
