This private group tour...
This private group tour of Hallstatt and the Alps (with a number of agreed photo stops) was a wonderful way to see more of the region and learn more about Austria from our fantastic guide, Fritz. He was friendly and amusing and made every effort to tailor the trip for all members of the group. My favourite aspect was how unhurried the trip was, allowing for a long, leisurely time in Hallstatt to explore, eat and enjoy the spectacular views. In comparison to other trips I have been on this was very relaxed and flexible. Hallstatt is busy with tourists and can feel quite chaotic; having additional time allows you to avoid some of the rush and find quieter spots for enjoying the scenery or to eat in relative peace. I cannot praise Fritz enough for his wealth of knowledge and his personalised recommendations, he was a genuine gentleman. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed his company.

Very Enjoyable
This was a great day trip from Salzburg. We learned a lot about the are and saw some beautiful scenery. The salt mines were a little touristy, but I would still recommend doing it. It was really neat to see the history of Hallstatt while also learning where salt actually comes from. Our tour guide, Shiva, was wonderful!

Nearer to Mozart!
It was incredible to hear an accomplished group of six play Mozart in the very palace room where Mozart himself once played for royalty. We did spend the extra for front row and it was worth it as the hall is long. Definitely a must do if you love music.

Fantastic Tour of Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden!
Terrific tour on a comfortable bus to see Eagle's Nest and Berchtesgaden. Guide provided historical commentary on drive. For Eagle's Nest we switched buses to get up the mountain. Had time for exploring and seeing the sites. Amazing views. Had time to explore Berchtesgaden town after. Comfortable ride back to Salzburg. It was worth it!! Excellent experience. Don't miss it!

Visit the Hohensalzburg Fortress, stroll through the lush Mirabell Gardens, and marvel at the stunning architecture of Salzburg Cathedral. For fans of The Sound of Music, there are dedicated tours that bring the film’s locations to life, while those looking for history and dramatic landscapes will find it just over the German border, where you can visit the Eagle’s Nest and the underground bunkers of Berchtesgaden.
