Top Palermo Walking Tours

This was an amazing food tour.! The meeting point was easy to find and so was our guide Vinz with his red umbrella. Vinz led us thru the streets of Palermo telling us the history and stories of Palermo that made it all come alive. He is smart, funny and he can sing and dance into your heart. The food was thoughtful, local and more than expected. I am a vegetarian and each stop had a delicious option for me! example bruschetta/aranchina/eggplant pizza to name a few! Be sure our meat eaters were very happy with their offerings as well. All stops were ready for us excellent seating and friendly. A number of stops offered beer and wine. Try not go eat much prior to the tour you are going to sample amazing local food and lots if it! The walk was casual and easily doable for all. Vinz made sure we all knew how to find our way back to our hotels before departing very caring. I am a solo traveller and felt very welcome and included in our group. lI have travelled extensively and this was the best food tour yet. Thank you Vinz for one of the best food tours!

Laura was awesome and very knowledgeable about the history of Palermo. She combined her growing up in the area and now living there. Great humor, passion and fun made the tour even better. She got us around the student demonstration and adjusted the tour without missing a beat. One of the best guides we've had with Viator- She deserves to know that!

We met Lorenzo early at the meeting point. We started the tour there and for the next 3 plus hours we traveled around Palermo learning about the various destinations and eating great food. The areas we traveled were new to us, and it was nice to explore new locations. We stopped and discussed Saint Rosalia who was said to banish the plague. He also told us of a personal relationship his family has with her. It was very interesting and brought his personal experience into the tour. Some food we had included Sicilian pizza, pasta and a white port wine which was delicious. One thing we really appreciated was that whenever we stopped he counted to make sure everyone was there. We went to the "secret" bakery where we had excellent cannolies. He told us that they brought in a hawk to chase away the pigeons. Lorenzo has a wealth of knowledge for the history of the area. We went to the market and he gave us a history of it and why the vendors were in specific locations. His knowledge, coupled with his enthusiasm and great sense of humor made this an excellent tour. I highly recommend it and I hope you can get Lorenzo as your tour guide.
