If you’re looking for a great way to get a lay of the land and eat well, this tour is worth every penny! We had a wonderful time on this street food tour. Our group was 11 folks from all over the world, and the vibes were just fantastic from start to finish. 🌍🤝 Our guide, Alessandro, was the absolute star of the show. He’s basically part tour guide, part stand-up comedian, and part private chef. 🎭👨‍🍳 He informed us right upfront that the menu would be heavy on carbs and fried foods, which was completely fine by me—bring on the comfort food! 🧆🥖 🥖 The Bites Everything was delicious, though I did take a little culinary gamble! I tried the spleen sandwich, which was super adventurous for me. While I’m glad I gave it a shot, I probably wouldn’t order it again... unless maybe they loaded it up with some cheese or hot sauce to make it a bit more bearable! 🌶️🧀 💡 The Verdict Not only was the food great, but it was also such a good way to get our bearings in the city. 🗺️💶 10/10, would definitely do it again! This tour was incredibly informative about how organized crime affected Sicily and especially Palermo. Our guide took us around the city and explained what life was like before the prosecution of the mafia and after. It’s an important part of Sicilian history to learn that is often glamourized, but this revealed how it affected (and still affects) average people.

The Palermo food tour with Emma was absolutely fantastic! I got to try so many dishes I’d never tasted before! it was a wonderful explosion of flavors and textures. I also enjoyed some delicious local wines and beers. Emma was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. She took me to authentic places where everything is made in the traditional way and explained so many interesting details along the way. She answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable from the start. I had such a great time that the tour flew by. I highly recommend this experience! Grazie :)

Very informative tour. Host Fabrizio was very generous, patient and knowledgeable. Our family group really enjoyed everything about this tour. Sample tastings of many street foods and opportunities (and time) to buy anything else you desire along the way. Fabrizio offered many recommendations and was happy to be contacted for further information etc before or after the tour. Highly recommend this tour.

Would recommend. Good value and the tour really only scratches the surface as Palermo is so large.. this is a great opportunity to gather information to continue exploring on our own.. The food options were perfect, not to heavy and breaks up the walking.

This class was so amazing that we went twice in two weeks. Michael is awesome - he will explain the logic of buying specific products or from specific stalls in the market, and then clue you in to specific cultural cooking strategies while you make a 3 course meal. Wine is flowing at the end and the groups are always a great time. The menu is always changing, and based on whatever is fresh and seasonal in the markets. This is a must do if you’re visiting Palermo - and potentially a must do twice :)

My daughter and I had the best time. It was just the two of us and it was perfect. I loved the fact that it was in their home. The young woman and her fiancée were amazing. We had them dine with us when we enjoyed the fruits of our labor. We weren’t to far from the cruise ship and were able to explore prior to the class. Very nice tour in the hearth of Palermo, with facts about the city and the monasteries in the center. Vi visited couple of churches and a monaster, a busy street market and the house with the palm tree. The guide explained everything in great detail. I would definitely recommend this tour!
