Passionate People

A lot of traveling, but well worth the trip! Our "travel agent" , Simona, updated us step by step of the trip, was well organized and gave us a little geography and history lesson on our way to and from the locations! Super friendly, funny and nice! Our tour guide at the Valley of the Temples was very passionate about the subject and his Sicily. He expressed it with every move and gesture! We learned a lot about the area with the information he gave us! At the Villa Romana del Casale, we were given the choice of a self guided tour, an audio tour (you pay to get a headset and it talks to you) or a tour guide. Two other couples, another tourist and us decided to get the tour guide, which Simona arranged for us. We were all so glad that we made that choice! Again, the tour guide was very passionate when he spoke and gave us insights that we may not have been made aware of had we explored ourselves or gotten the audio tour. It was an additional fee, per person (20 €/person), but was well worth it! We were extremely tired at the end of the day but thrilled that we chose this tour!

Our day exploring Corleone with our private driver, Umberto, was truly unforgettable. From the Mafia Museum and a wonderful lunch in Corleone to the magnificent sights & historic conversation along the way, Umberto made the experience exceptional. His knowledge of Sicily is remarkable, but even more special is the genuine love and passion he has for his homeland. As the grandson of an immigrant from Sicily I felt connected. He shared that love with us throughout the journey, giving us a deeper appreciation for the history, culture, and beauty of Sicily. Umberto provided wonderful service from beginning to end, and his warmth and enthusiasm made the day feel personal and meaningful. My son Erik and I were so grateful for this experience and would highly recommend Umberto to anyone wanting to discover the real Sicily.

Our guide, Umberto, was amazing! He drove, spoke English and explained everything in detail along the way as well as when we were in Castlebuono. Castlebuono was worth the journey, a very picturesque town on the top of a mountain with a castle. Great little shops . Also Cephalu is a must see. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone staying in Palermo!

Raynaldo was fabulous. He was a great driver, super clean van and provided a wonderful experience. Erice was truly magical…. An ancient Sicilian city on top of a mountain. It felt like you were in a storybook. The winery and Francesco, the guide there, was just incredible too. Francesco was very nice and welcoming, and loves what he does and it shows. Again, Reynaldo embodied the person of profession, was knowledgeable, personable and pleasant. We highly recommend him and this tour.

Pietro and Antonio were awesome. They picked us up from the hotel with a warm welcome Antonio was our driver and an excellent one at that. Pietro was so knowledgeable about Italy, the history, the attractions etc. he was also so passionate about it We especially loved the Cathedral of Monreale. Pietro walked us through the history, how to walk though it and shared a book with how it was built and organized It was the most magnificent cathedral we have ever been to. It had the story of the Bible from one end to the other We thoroughly enjoyed the trip sitting in the heck of the cruiser car with beautiful views, snacks and prosecco We would highly recommend this experience

Our tour through Cefalù and Caccamo was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. Both towns were breathtaking in completely different ways — Cefalù with its coastal beauty and charm, and Caccamo with its deep history, quiet magic, and incredible views. What made the experience especially meaningful was our guide, Tatiana!! She was incredibly insightful and deeply knowledgeable about Sicilian history, culture, and local traditions. Her warmth and upbeat energy immediately made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and connected to the places we were visiting. She brought every street, castle, and story to life in such a magical way. For our family, visiting Caccamo was especially emotional and memorable because it is the town our ancestors (Ciaccio’s of Los Angeles) immigrated from. Seeing the homes and hearing its history felt deeply personal, and Tatiana understood the significance of that connection. She helped turn what could have been just a sightseeing tour into a meaningful family experience we will never forget ❤️. We left feeling inspired, connected to our roots, and even more in love with Sicily. Highly recommend this tour and especially Tatiana to anyone wanting a heartfelt and fun experience!

Pasta perfection in Palermo

My daughter and I had the best time. It was just the two of us and it was perfect. I loved the fact that it was in their home. The young woman and her fiancée were amazing. We had them dine with us when we enjoyed the fruits of our labor. We weren’t to far from the cruise ship and were able to explore prior to the class. What a Day! Great Time at the Sights, Much because of Antonio

My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic day with this experience. Both Valley of the Temples and Turkish Steppes were gorgeous and impactful. If you are traveling between Palermo and Catania and don’t want to drive yourself, I wholeheartedly recommend this. I also want to take a minute to thank and shout out our driver, Antonio. We had such an easy pick up and drop off, and smooth driving in between. Antonio was attentive, communicative, and hilarious. He made sure we were comfortable and relaxed, and well fed to get through the day. He also took the time to give us great recommendations for our stay in Catania.
