Top Netherlands Art Classes

Discover Amsterdam’s photogenic side—and improve your photography skills—on this private walking tour. Meet your guide in the afternoon at a location that works for you, receive a photography tutorial, and then set off to discover the parts of the city that interest you most. As you go, capture the scenery with your camera; later, as darkness descends, put your new night photography skills to the test.

Step inside Amsterdam's highest-rated art experience and enter the intimate world of Rembrandt and Vermeer. Surrounded by candlelight, the scent of incense and authentic 17th-century interiors, you'll feel as if you've travelled back in time. Begin your journey with an inspiring introduction by award-winning photographer Sander Veeneman, who reveals the fascinating stories and hidden secrets behind the Dutch Masters. Then dress in authentic period costumes and become part of a masterpiece yourself. Using the same principles of light and composition that made Rembrandt and Vermeer world-famous, your private portrait session results in a museum-quality artwork and an unforgettable memory of Amsterdam.

Leave behind the kitschy souvenirs and opt for something memorable—that doubles as an experience. With this workshop, you’ll be welcomed to a local’s home, where you’ll chat over coffee or tea before picking up your leather-working tools. No skills required, and at the end of the session, you’ll walk away with your own personally made, genuine leather creation with your name inscribed, a true one-of-a-kind.

Enjoy an Amsterdam experience with a difference and try something that most tourists never get to experience—perfume-making with the help of a local tutor. Spend hours immersing yourself in the world of perfumery in the comfort of your teacher’s home, with the end result being you taking your own personal scent home with you.

Give something you already own a completely new life while learning creative techniques along the way. Instead of making something from scratch, you turn your own clothes or shoes into a personal piece that reflects your style.

Try your hand at recreating Rembrandt’s masterpieces—and enjoy the undivided attention of a private guide—during a painting workshop in Amsterdam. With this hands-on experience, you’ll make your own oil paints before creating a mini masterpiece to take home. Enjoy personalized instruction tailored to your ability, hear facts about the famous artist, and learn the secrets of how to make paints from natural ingredients.

Unlike a standard tour, this private walk blends sightseeing with personal photo tips you can use anywhere. Your workshop facilitator, Simon Elwell is a professional freelance photographer who has a wide portfolio of work and will convey his own personal advice on how to improve your photography regardless of your camera. We will definitely see some of the most beautiful parts of the city but this is not a guided city tour - It's all about photography, so bring a camera and your creative interest.
