Cooking in Osaka
Had an amazing time during this cooking class. The instructors were patient and very helpful. They capture photos for you during the experience and send as a Google Drive at the end of the class which was an unexpected surprise. I would definitely recommend!

Matcha and mochi
Cool tea ceremony close to Dotonburi. You are served sweet mochi and learn/ experience Japanese tea ceremony. Then you do the matcha whisking yourself after.
A con would just be that the activity next door was pretty loud, so it kinda disrupted the tranquility of the ceremony, but I'll still give it 5 stars.

Sushi making skills to take back home with you...
If you're a sushi lover and want to learn how to make your own sushi rolls and nigiri in a super fun atmosphere, then you definitely need to book this activity if you're here in Osaka. Our class was primarily taught by Koh and he was FANTASTIC! Just a really nice, funny guy and so entertaining. The rest of the team also, they were friendly and personable. The class itself is informative, like the history of sushi and we got to learn some Japanese words. The sushi was pretty delicious too and they use good ingredients. The place is nice, clean, and welcoming, just overall a wonderful experience.

Great cultural activity for all ages
This was a great experience to learn about Japanese tea culture. The hosts were great and very informative. They give information about traditional tea ceremonies and where they divert from tradition to make it more interactive for us. We wear Kimonos including our little one. At the end of the ceremony one person from each group make matcha tea.

Tranquil tea ceremony experience
Even though it’s in a busy tourist spot , right near the Kiyomizu-dera temple ( which is a must!) it was in a lovely tranquil tea house..(I’d combine the 2 experiences & do them on the same day) There are plenty of cafes, souvenir shops in the vicinity too. Staff are very welcoming, asking you to remove shoes at the door ( so remember socks) then you enter a 100 year old tea house..facing a pretty Japanese style garden. They have you seated on floor cushions (small stool or chair are available) if floor sitting is a challenge.. each person has a matcha tea service and sweet made up on a tray in front of them. They then talk you through the history & rituals and introduce you to the ‘tea-master’ & how the ceremony will proceed. An enjoyable & informative 45 minute session.

Amazing time
Amazing experience. The host explains the historical significance of the ceremony and explains the key portions of the ritual. She also highlighted things that we would be doing different for our ceremony (due to the nature of it being a tourist event versus a traditional ceremony) and gave us ample opportunities for photos.

Best sushi making place
This was so fun, with jokes and learning the backstory of sushi, it was great. The fish was fresh and the rice was so good, I secretly ate some while making the sushi. I would highly recommend this place, especially for families. I came with my two young kids and they both had a great time !

Great class!
We had a fantastic time making Sushi with Chef Tanaka and guide AJ. The instruction was thorough and chef Tanaka was patient and helpful with my 9 and 12 year old kids. The fish was of course super fresh, and the kids say it’s the highlight of our Tokyo trip so far!

Yuca is amazing! First of...
Yuca is amazing! First of all, she is super knowledgeable to not only how to cook ramen and gyoza but to places you need to check and recommendations on foods of all sorts. She was really kind and made the class entertaining while she was a lovely host. She provided tea, all the ingredients, the recipes, and shared the history behind ramen and all the ingredients. 100% recommend!

From our first step into...
From our first step into the door, all the ladies were very inviting and kind. The process of the tea ceremony was educational but heart felt. The tea master made the experience even more of a special experience. We very much enjoyed this experience and will treasure it forever.

Good experience!!
Today’s experience was really cool!
It was my first time making ramen by myself, so as a beginner at cooking it seemed difficult at first. But the guides were very patient and made the whole process fun, so even I was able to make my own ramen!
The finished ramen was delicious, and I’d love to keep using this recipe to make it again in the future 😊

Perfect way to spend a morning in Tokyo!
This was such a fun way to better understand Japanese food and culture. Our instructor spoke perfect English and explained everything clearly. The dishes were simple but delicious and we were able to prepare a beautiful meal in two hours. Highly recommend!
