This was one of the best activities we had so far in Japan! Fumi was a great, patient teacher and we learned so much from her in those precious 2,5h. The food turned out amazing and we are definitely going to cook some of these dishes at home too! It was so nice they catered to our pescatarian diet, so that we cooked clams instead of beef. Fumi also helped us with directions to an Osaka street where a lot of kitchen utensils are sold, so we got our own tamago pan after the class. Ookini!

Fun little class, learned some good tips that I can put to use in home cooking. A little bit expensive but worth it!

    Great experience on our trip

Very punctual, clean, professional, and nice. Her English was warm and to the point. The class was just the right size to learn in the time allotted.

    Delicious, interesting and fun

My brother and I were quite lucky, since we were the only ones present for the lesson Which meant that our instructor (Fumi) could teach us in greater detail. Everything was well explained and we even decided to buy a frying pan just for the omelette. The food was delicious and healthy. Highly recommended!

    Health and balanced meal

We now appreciate a lot more about traditional Japanese cooking, our instructor Yumi explained the history and the process behind the making of dashi the soup stock used in many dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed making the food, arranging and presenting the bento box, and eating our creations afterwards, would definitely repeat these dishes back at home. We were 10 minutes late due to unfamiliarity with the subway system and Yumi was waiting for us downstairs. I would definitely recommend getting there 10 minutes early to get settled in.

    Yummy Lunch

I had a great time cooking my own bento. Fumisan is a great cook and taught me carefully and gracefully on how to prepare everything. I highly recommend adding this activity to your Osaka trip. 🥰 Arigatou gozaimasu.

I had a really good time learning about japanese cuisine and culture. The teacher was very attentive and the class very professional.

This was such fun experience and easy enough for my 12 year old daughter to follow. Yumi was a great teacher and made sure we could all participate in every dish prepared. My daughter really enjoys cooking and eating Japanese food- we both loved this cooking class.

Delicious, inspiring, and learned some great new things!

This was the second class that we took with Fumi and the Sakura Cook school (the other was the Japanese sweets making class), and we had just as much fun as our first class. We learned several new cooking techniques and ingredients that were all very approachable - since we've returned home, we've made many of the same dishes that we learned during the class. In particular, learning how to make tamago correctly was great and something we've always wanted to learn properly. Loved the final presentation of our bentos at the end of the lesson and eating our lunch was so おいしい!
