Short and Sweet 🍫
We did the Eden Chocolate Tour in October which was off-season and ended up being the only participants in the group. Our guide, Nelson, started by offering us a drink and then took us to see the three different types of cacao grown there and explained its characteristics.
Afterwards, we were able to open the cacao, taste it, learn about the chocolate-making process and its history. We also had the opportunity to make our own bonbons. The tour was both educational and interactive.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An incredible experience thanks to Randall
We did the chocolate and coffee tour and it was an incredible experience, totally recommended.
We want to especially highlight our guide, Randall, who was magnificent. He explained everything to us with a lot of detail, enthusiasm, and patience, answering the large number of questions and curiosities that came up for us during the tour.
It was a very interesting and enriching activity, in which we learned a lot about coffee, cacao, and their production processes. We are taking away not only a fantastic experience, but also a great deal of knowledge about everything they taught us.
Thank you so much to Randall for making this visit such a special experience! Without a doubt, an essential activity if you visit La Fortuna.

Not only do you see a lot...
Not only do you see a lot of sloths, you'll see and learn about a lot of different animals and plants in the area! The coffee, chocolate and sugar cans experience was also one for the books! Our guide was so friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer all of the questions thrown his way! A must see in La Fortuna!

An authentic and wonderful experience
We were looking for a different, authentic experience, and we definitely found it!
Don Olivo is a family business that allows you to get to know the world of cocoa up close through a tour of their own farm, in a close, welcoming environment full of nature.
Josué was an excellent host, very kind, attentive and always willing to answer each of our questions, sharing his knowledge with enthusiasm and dedication.
We learned a lot about cocoa and, in addition, we enjoyed tasting a wide variety of fresh fruits and cocoa in its most natural state. We ate a lot and everything was delicious! The best part is that the experience focuses on fresh, real products, without artificial or processed preparations.
You can tell the affection, dedication, and pride with which this family shares their work and their knowledge.
If you are looking for a genuine experience, to connect with nature and learn about cacao beyond commercial chocolate, this is the right place.
Totally recommended! 🌱🍫

Tour with Josue
An incredible experience! We did the coffee, cocoa, and sugarcane tour with Josue and we loved it from beginning to end. Josue was super friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. He explained the whole process to us in a very interesting way and made us feel welcome throughout the entire tour.
We loved being able to learn, taste, and experience up close how coffee, chocolate, and sugarcane are produced in Costa Rica. You can tell that Josue enjoys what he does and that made the experience even more special.
We definitely recommend this tour and, if you have the opportunity, do it with Josue! It was one of our favorite experiences in Costa Rica. 🇨🇷☕🍫🌱 Pura vida!

We had an amazing time on...
We had an amazing time on our 4-wheeling tour with Adventure Tours Costa Rica! The views and experience were incredible, and our guide, Alonso, made the tour even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was having a great time while keeping us safe. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Alonso as your guide!

Best Tour Ever
Best experience in Costa Rica! I was the only one signed up and the owner didn’t reschedule or cancel me, but gave me a private tour. I learned SO much about chocolate and coffee here and the hands on experience is a plus. THIS is the coffee/chocolate tour you’re gonna want to do if you want the history and to experience authentic chocolate

Don Juan Monteverde tour
Our tour guide Geronimo was extremely competent. We were able to do the tour in French. The tour let us discover all the stages of chocolate making, coffee production, and sugarcane.
Geronimo knew how to answer all our questions. We learned a lot and we really enjoyed the different tastings.

Very informative and exciting
Well organized with hotel pickup, tour and lunch.
It was a really successful and exciting trip. The driver who picked us up was very nice and chatty. The tour with Sergio was very educational and delicious, we were able to taste different variants of chocolate with fruits and ingredients. As well as coffee and sugar cane drinks.
Lunch in a restaurant was traditional and very delicious.
All in all a highly recommended excursion.

Cool, interesting and entertaining tour
It was a super cool , exciting entertaining tour with our guide Xexel. She guided us excitingly through the production of chocolate and explained all the steps. Our children loved to taste all the different products and of course the tasting of the fresh liquid chocolate in the end.
Worth every rap and really recommended.

One of the best tours I’ve been on
I got so much out of this tour. I love coffee and gained new appreciation for what goes into it. Truthfully the bag I bought in the gift store is already gone and I’ve been home less than a week… I need to come back to get more. Now that I know what fresh coffee can actually taste like, flavor of the coffee is unlike anything I can buy even for a steep price in the states.
My partner used to own a coffee shop and even he learned quite a bit of new information about coffee!
We loved putting human faces to the coffee we drink and appreciated the history of the workers that was shared and the emphasis on the coop structure and economic development of the region. Really a great experience, I didn’t want to leave.

Easy travel from LIR to Westin Conchal, all-in up front (no separate booking outside Viator)
I booked two other car services and cancelled bc they both required a separate second booking (outside of Viator) for the return trip. This car service is the way to go — all-in fee up front, clean vehicles, friendly drivers who are on time! No issues at all. I had a little trouble finding the guy when I landed but that’s bc my flight was early, customs was super quick, and he was just pulling in. I messaged the service on the WhatsApp number they gave me, and they responded quickly to give me his information. Would absolutely book this service again!
