What Makes This Activity Special This open studio experience is not a fixed class but a flexible, creative moment in the heart of Amsterdam. Instead of following strict instructions, you are encouraged to explore, experiment, and work in a way that feels natural to you. Creativity here is approached as something everyone can access, not as a talent you need to have. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and personal, making it easy to relax, focus, and enjoy the process. Many guests are surprised by what they create when given time, space, and the freedom to follow their curiosity. Whether you come to unwind, reconnect with your creativity, or try something completely new, this open studio offers a meaningful and hands-on experience that stays with you long after the session ends.

This workshop offers a hands-on experience where you create your own leather bag from start to finish in just two hours. No sewing or prior experience is required, making it accessible to everyone. With guidance from experienced makers, you’ll work entirely by hand in a relaxed studio setting and leave with a unique, functional item you can use every day. You will work in a professional shoe and bag making studio, unique in Amsterdam and will learn from experts in these fields. Enjoy the creative atmosphere and professional ambiance.

Step into a working soap distillery where every bar on the shelves was made by hand, just like yours will be. Nature Bar is not a workshop venue. It's a real soap distillery in De Hallen, Amsterdam, where Marlies and Jaros make every single product by hand, every week. When you join the workshop, you're working in the actual kitchen, with the real tools, next to the soap that's curing on the shelves around you. You'll learn how cold process soap is made, which organic oils and botanical ingredients go in, and why that makes such a difference compared to what's in the average plastic bottle. By the end of the session you'll have made your own bars. The soap needs a few weeks to cure, but it goes home with you on the day. Every single time, people leave surprised by how much they enjoyed it, and how good it smells in there. This is handmade, honest and genuinely unique. There is no other place in Amsterdam where you can do this.
