We met up at the checkpoint indicated and promptly set sail after a short briefing on safety instructions. The crew of 4 were all very polite and friendly. They worked together as a team throughout the sailing on taking drink orders, hoisting the sails, and keeping the guests entertained.
In the 2 hours, we had clear weather and got to view Mt. Rainier, the city skyline, and even some whales. This sailing is definitely worth the money, and I highly recommend it

Highly, highly recommend! The ship is absolutely beautiful. An intimate size, very picturesque, especially if you want real sailing photos, not on a big tour ship or a ferry. The crew is also super knowledgeable! There were two crew members who were very new to the job, but you’d never guess it. They obviously get hands on training from the get go. You’ll witness real time sailing communication. The captain, Nick, explained safety rules very clearly. If you get nervous on the water, you have nothing to worry about here.
It’s a great amount of time on the water, too. Not too little, not too much — though, who would complain about more time on this ship? The scenery is gorgeous and you get a perfect view of the sun setting behind the mountains. The tour is not guided, which I loved. You get to enjoy the peaceful ride without someone talking at you constantly. However, there are a few interactive where they will call your attention, but it’s for a good reason. Volunteers get to help raise the sails, and there was also a celebratory cannon fire!
We booked it to celebrate our engagement and a few crew members congratulated us, which was kind. They serve drinks on board and are very attentive. Keep in mind that they work for tips as well, so bring cash to tip them! A crew member will be holding a bag for tips during debarkation.
If you have two hours in your evening in Seattle, absolutely book with them. If you’re visiting Seattle, don’t miss this. We did a guided tour of the bay as well, which we enjoyed, but we had much more fun on this one.

This was a fun way to spend an evening meeting new people while enjoying a friendly and entertaining crew. A great opportunity to see the coastline, the sunset over the Olympic Mountains and Mt Ranier.

My husband & I went to Seattle for my birthday. This was our first cruise/experience when we landed in Seattle, and it was fantastic! Thanks to the marvelous captain & crew!

This was a disappointment. Crew was friendly, but to call it a sailing experience is a far stretch. The tour is 2 hours long. And at least 1 1/2 hours is spent getting in and out. If we were actually under sail for a half an hour that would be a lot. Not worth the money !!

Loved the tour, but wear proper clothing for cold weather. It was different than your typical harbor tour, the German chocolate alcohol was great! I would suggest improving signage and directions of the meeting place though. The views of Downtown Seattle and the sunset over Puget Sound were breathtaking.

Such a lovely evening sail. Gorgeous views of the city skyline and the sunset. Captain and crew were friendly and welcoming. Drinks were available including wine, beer, hard cider and soda. I tried a local white blend that was great.
Robert_B, Sept 2025
It is colder on the water than on land. Sailing was very smooth. Adult beverages are for sale onboard. There was a restroom on the boat, steep steps to reach it though.
Emily_S, Sept 2025
This experience was very fun. The crew were very nice and make personal relationships with the guests. It was really cool to watch them putting up and taking down the sails. Quite an experience!

Fun, exciting experience! The crew made the cruise memorable including us in hoisting the sails and explaining safe practices. Friendly, professional crew who engaged with passengers throughout the cruise. A beautiful night with a light wind, gorgeous sunset, and night light Seattle skyline. Highly recommend sailing the Tall Ship. Small world- Capt Nick is from Oklahoma, too! Thanks to the crew for a great time!
Loraine_D, Sept 2025
