What are people saying about Seoul

It’s a super nice...
It’s a super nice activity to get to know a little bit more about Korean culture. The visit of the market really help you understand the products and the cooking class is a nice way to experience the culture. And it gives you the opportunity to share your travel once you go home because you make the dishes you learnt to your family and friends.

This was a great...
This was a great experience, highlight of the Seoul trip. Could not recommend it enough.
Not only do you make tasty recipes but learn their history and why they are important in Korean food culture.
Ricky was brilliant and made it a highlight. You feel like you’re in a little part of history.
A big perk is that it is such a small group. So book in advance, we nearly missed out.

Must do if you like trying new foods!
This was such a great tour! We loved the food, our host, and the fun, engaging way he shared the history of this amazing market. It was a fantastic way to experience Korean culture through food, learn about local traditions, and connect with the heart of the market. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!

Wonderful! Kim had to...
Wonderful! Kim had to deal with a few of us older people who were a little challenge in energy. But he was absolutely wonderful, and patient. He conducted an amazing tour of Seoul. So amazing was the tour, that we all decided we’d love to come back to Korea.

Fantastic Experience! Highly Recommend!
I booked this experience for myself plus three family members - one of whom used to live in Korea. We all had a fabulous time! Grace and Stephen were fantastic hosts and teachers. Very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Plus all the food we made was truly amazing (and our expectations were high to begin with). We all appreciated how you made your own food so you could season it to your liking and taste preferences. I’d highly recommend!

A great couple of hours...
A great couple of hours making some traditional Korean food. Small group and friendly tutor with excellent English. All the ingredients were pre-prepared. There was lots to eat for lunch afterwards or to take away. My only comment to the organisers is that our ingredients were supplied in disposable single use plastic pots which is not so environmentally good.
However it was an entertaining and fun morning.

Constant contact and updates. Very reliable and helpful.
Constant contact from the moment we booked until the moment we touched down at airport. Office and driver were courteous and helpful all throughout the process. Mr Jong, our driver texted us before we even turned on our phones, and was at the gate waiting with sign for us. Courteous and friendly. We have recommended this service to sisters and other relatives.

We signed up for this...
My brother and I signed up for this tour the day we arrived in Seoul in order to establish a good sleep schedule and start seeing Seoul. What appealed to me was the unique factor of it being a historical sightseeing tour with a food tour mixed in one.
It did not disappoint. Ron was fantastic as a guide! We were able to walk around the palace and temple at night, which was a very cool experience (literally too as we weren't sweating as we would be in the daytime). Ron gave us the historical context with entertaining, historical stories and made sure to keep us engaged by asking us to guess at various facts of Korean history. The food stops were also fantastic - and I was able to make a lot of memories meeting new people and trying a bunch of new foods. I'd definitely do it again if I'm ever fortunate enough to be able to return to Korea.

Don't miss it!
This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience and I would do it again without a doubt. We opted for the tour to take place on the first day of our trip to Seoul, and it was a great intro into the best of the best Korea has to offer, and helped us get rid of so much of the FOMO one has to make sure you try everything in Korea. Mike was the best! Super knowledgeable, nice, and accommodating to my wife who doesn't eat meat. The group size is perfect size and the tour just continues and you don't want it to stop! We are a family of foodies who have travelled the world, and I recommend Mike with a full stomach :)

Simple and Delicious
It was a very fun cooking class. Junghee made the experience personable, getting to know each participant, shared Korean foods from the market, teaching us Korean words and culture. More importantly, the food was delicious with a few ingredients. I probably cooked the best chicken in my life 😋

A great class!
Arrive hungry! The food is wonderful and the instruction is comprehensive. I attended with others of different cooking abilities, including children. The instructor was patient and thorough. Four dishes is a lot to cover, but the pace and details mar it easy to keep up. A great experience in Seoul!

Four kinds of kimchi and a whole new skill set!
What a fantastic hands-on experience! The class started with a guided tour of Mangwon Market, where we saw the key kimchi ingredients up close — napa cabbage, chili peppers, fish sauce — which made the cooking that followed feel so much more meaningful.
Then we rolled up our sleeves and made not one but FOUR types of kimchi: traditional napa cabbage kimchi (I learned the cabbage needs at least 10 hours of brining!), fresh kimchi, daikon kimchi sweetened with Asian pear, and cucumber kimchi. My favorite part was hand-stuffing the spicy chili paste between every single cabbage leaf — you quickly understand why kimchi-making is such a labor of love in Korean families.
The instruction was clear and the pace was perfect for beginners. I left with a real understanding of the fermentation process and the confidence to make kimchi at home. If you want to go beyond just eating Korean food and learn one of its cornerstone traditions, this class is a must!
