Our tour guide, Haley was amazing!!! We had a short visit in Jeju but Haley made sure we saw as much as possible. She was available to take pictures for us, help with translation, provide options for those guests that had trouble navigating the stairs. Peter went above and beyond - fantastic tour!

We were a group of 5 women and our guide for the day on the Jeju tour was Peter. He was so good at English and communication was very easy. We had an ambitious itinerary for the day - he not only guided us but stretched himself and made it happen for us! He told us so many stories about Jeju and its history and was always very patient and helpful when it came to recommendations on where to eat, spots for a quick scenic stop over etc … we came away with beautiful memories of Jeju island, thanks to Peter! I visited Jeju Island with my family. We visited many beautiful and interesting places, including Seongeup Folk Village, Seopjikoji, Seongsan Ilchulbong, the Haenyeo Museum, Manjanggul Cave, and Hamdeok Beach. First, we went to Seongeup Folk Village. I enjoyed seeing the traditional houses and learning about how people lived in Jeju in the past. It was interesting to see the unique culture and lifestyle of the island. Next, we visited Seopjikoji and Seongsan Ilchulbong. The scenery was amazing, especially the blue ocean and green hills. Climbing Seongsan Ilchulbong was a little tiring, but the view from the top was worth it. I felt very happy and refreshed while looking at the beautiful landscape. At the Haenyeo Museum, I learned about the haenyeo, the female divers of Jeju. I was impressed by their strength and courage. They have worked in the sea for a long time and have kept their traditions alive. We also visited Manjanggul Cave. The cave was cool and mysterious, and I was amazed by its huge lava formations. Finally, we went to Hamdeok Beach. The clear blue water and soft sand made it one of my favorite places on the trip. This trip taught me about Jeju's beautiful nature and unique culture. I had a wonderful time, and I hope to visit Jeju Island again someday.

Great way to enjoy Jeju’s nature

I went on the tour with Clara, the tour guide, and Mr. Kim, the driver. The tour was designed well to start with the 1100 Altitude Wetlands (a little walk but mostly chance to have a quick breakfast at the convenience store with the observation deck) and highlighted the southern Jeju spots and a little bit of eastern by the way of O’sulloc Museum. I specifically took this tour to be able to visit O’sulloc Museum, which is not easy to do as a solo traveler who doesn’t want to drive. It was nice to be able to see a lot of Seogwipo area as someone staying in Jeju city. The tour was paced well for me, I felt we had enough time at each stop. There were no weird sales stops along the way. Clara was very informative as a native Jeju dweller to highlight the reasons why we were making each stop. It is a bit of a hike involved in many stops, as Jeju is just a very hilly place with lots of steps and walking to see a good amount of these stops. Clara also took great photos, another plus for going on a group tour as a solo traveler. The tour is a bit longer than eight hours by the time you get to Jeju city area, so flights or other next itinerary should be planned accordingly.

Good Intro to Jeju

Lots of vertical hiking on this day trip from Jeju Port. Wear comfy shoes, bring water, and prepare to sweat! But the views were beautiful and worth the climb. We had some idea of what we wanted to see in Jeju (mostly nature and scenic viewpoints), so it wasn't a big deal that our driver didn't speak much English. He was waiting for us when we exited the cruise terminal and he had planned out our itinerary based on my requested sightseeing stops. At each stop, he walked us to the entrance and helped us purchase entry tickets and then waited in the car for us to finish. I loved that we were able to customize the itinerary timings to our needs. We included a black pork lunch in Seogwipo, and when we were ahead of schedule after lunch, our driver even took us to an additional attraction before driving us back to the cruise port.

Mr. Yong was waiting on...

Mr. Yong was waiting on us as we came off the cruise ship. He asked us to go over the days itinerary with him to add or subtract anything we didn’t want to see. He was always a gentleman and took a lot of pictures for us. He keep us informed how much time we had at the stop to see everything and making it back on the ship in time. I would definitely recommend Mr Yong as a driver and he does speak some English which helped!
