Christ Church is the most famous college in the world's oldest English-speaking university, unique in having a chapel that's also a cathedral. It has been a place of worship for 1300 years, founded by a feisty Saxon saint before Oxford even existed. Our lovely guide, Vee. She introduced herself and it was clear she loved Oxford and her time in this fabulous city. Knowledge of the sites she took us to was good, especially the Harry Potter links and inspirations. A great way to see and...

A great way to see and learn about so many of the top sites of Oxford. Using guides who are current or recent Oxford students is a brilliant idea as their personal experience brings an extra layer of insight and fun. Our guide Thorstein was fantastic - very personable and funny, and full of stories on the history, architecture and people who have created and been part of Oxford. We choose the 3-hour tour which I recommend as you get to see Christ Church with a self-guided audio tour and can spend as much or little time as you want for that last hour.

Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable, and entertaining, and gave us various options to customize the tour to our liking. Unlike some other guides we had during our trip to England, she spoke very clearly so we had no trouble hearing her.
