The reason I bought this tour is because I thought we get a guide for all parts of listed attractions. The description also says around 3 hours but the whole tour was only 2 hours. We were dropped off at Christ Church with our own tickets to go in (I could’ve purchased tickets myself). This was around 1pm. The students’ lunch hour doesn’t end until 2 so we were stuck in there waiting for an hour until they finish lunch to see the Great Hall. I feel like the starting time could’ve been set to later so we go in when the Great Hall is available to tourists. It would be nice if we also have a guide

Riccardo was a great guide. We learned a lot about the university and history of Oxford. It’s a small group tour that we would recommend.

Excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable but also very fun. Well worth the price. You see so much in a short time it makes it possible to experience the best of Oxford in a day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Riccardo - he was full of great history and fascinating stories of Oxford, and is himself a recent graduate. The tour was engaging and the addition of Christ Church was excellent
The tour also ensured that we were fully aware of the specific opening and closing times of different parts of Christ Church so that we could ensure we saw everything. Would definitely recommend!

Nic was an amazing guide. Tour well organized and very informative. All of the places we went were amazing and Nic was funny and highly knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

The tour is wonderful. You learn a great deal about the Colleges and the rich history. Faye did an excellent job sharing about the Reformation as that is her area of study at Oxford. Having a student guide provides a much appreciated perspective.

Nick was FANTASTIC! He was a true wealth of knowledge as well as personable. He was also very apt to answer any and all area questions

Ash was a great tour guide, super informative with some added humor. We touched all the points on the itinerary with plenty of time for photos.

We had an outstanding three-hour walking tour of Oxford University with Riccardo. He recently completed his PhD in medieval history, and both his academic expertise and his experience as an Oxford student brought incredible depth and authenticity to the tour.
His knowledge of the university’s medieval foundations, traditions, and evolution was fascinating. He didn’t just share facts — he provided context, perspective, and stories that made the history feel alive and relevant.
We learned so much, and the three hours flew by. Riccardo was engaging, articulate, and clearly passionate about his subject. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a meaningful and memorable introduction to Oxford.

Luke was very funny and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun despite the freezing cold! We recommend this tour.
David_W, Dec 2025
It was a very fun little walk around the city and Uni! Luke was quite a good guide. Knew lots of details and fun facts about things I didn’t expect to learn about.

Our guide introduced us to the colleges and history of Oxford. She didn't rush through the process and walked with us to different colleges and some must-see points in Oxford. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide and student at Oxford, Antonia, was tremendous. She was very informative and told wonderful stories which briyght to life what it’s like to be a student at Oxford. Pro tip: give yourself a good hour to go through Christ Church at the end. We had to rich and get a train, and wish we could have lingered longer. Highly recommend this tour!

Fred and Niko were great guides to the charm and life of Oxford. Fred made the van journey enjoyable and Niko gave us a beautiful walk thru the various colleges and main points of Oxford with interesting facts and history. Highly recommend this trip for a highlighted tour with travel to and from london which made it convenient.

A fantastic and enthusiastic introduction to the history of Oxford and it's colleges. I went to school there but still learned so much new information.

Out tour guide was fantastic - Mahir, I think - was fantastic. He clearly knew so much of Oxford and its history and shared it in a way that was fun, approachable and interesting. It was great. Highly recommend the tour!

This is a wonderful tour of Oxford. I was only there for a couple of days and I wasn't sure where to start. Our guide was Rose. She was very knowledgeable about the area and also made the tour light and fun. I loved hearing all the facts about the colleges and student life. This is a well-paced tour and Rose moved us along easily keeping us on time but also not feeling rushed. It's a great tour to see some of the main highlights of Oxford while also learning some more in-depth information. I would absolutely recommend!

Loved this tour and our guide!! We had some stormy weather, but our guide (recent Oxford grad) fought through it and kept a smile on her face. She made sure we all had a good time and experienced Oxford the way it was meant to be seen.
Lynn_B, Oct 2025
Lots of walking yet frequents stops to enjoy our surroundings. We learned a great deal about each place we visited. Sam Day shared lots of interesting insights and “little known facts” that added to the history. I especially enjoyed the headsets so we could hear every word even when other people passed between us and Sam. Also, it made it easy to catch up when we stepped aside to take a picture. I’d recommend this tour company to anyone what to both learn about and enjoy Oxford.

We had a beautiful day, and our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable and engaging. We learned a lot and had fun too.
Robin_A, Sept 2025
I had a great time going through this tour. The guide was attentive, smart, funny and highly educational! The three hours went by so fast, and all the walking was well worth it! I would recommend this particular tour for anyone wanting to know the history and meaning of Oxford University.
Gail_C, Sept 2025
The guide Ben was good but having Christ Church the place you want to really get around at the end meant that is very tight before they closed. We got there at 4:05 and they started shutting sections at 4:30, we basically had to run around to see areas and getting ushered out almost as soon as we went in and other section they shut before we could get there. We don’t feel that for $300+ we got what we paid for. I recommend to Do 2 x 2 hrs way cheaper and don’t do afternoon tour.
Response from Host, Sept 2025
For Christ Church we allow 1hr (so 1/3 of the total tour time) which is usually enough for most people. As we are often in later than many members of the public are, which allows for a much quieter setting, it is advised to follow the order recommended by the guide, to maximise your time around the College, as it prepares for students to return to using the space.
The price you have noted is much more than we charge on a per person basis (by a huge amount) and we haven't received any communication from a customer describing what you have; so my only concern is that this might not have been with us. Feel free to reach out directly to us - as we would always recommend for something that didn't go as planned, as that gives us the opportunity to do something.
Mark_K, Sept 2025
Great experience. Lots of interesting information and facts. We had a third year student as our guide and she was amazing. She gave us insight as from the perspective of a student.
Alan_G, Sept 2025
Great tour with knowledgeable and fun guide. Rose was awesome. I also appreciated the tour having the audio pieces to make it easy to hear the guide.
Paola_O, Sept 2025
I participated in the 11am extended tour option (with Christ Church) and loved it! It’s a really awesome way to get an introduction into Oxford, and the main buildings. We didn’t realize we had to check in inside the tourist information center at first and almost joined the free tour by accident. But thankfully, we figured it out and made it to the correct (paid) tour. It was a small group of 11 people plus the guide who happened to be American- but was a current Oxford grad student. We had headphones to be able to hear the guide better which was SUPER helpful. Our guide was knowledgeable and kind. We went into Trinity College, Bodleian/Divinity School, passed through All Souls College, and finished at Christ Church where the guide procured our tickets, switched us tot he official audio guide, and left us to explore on our own. The dining hall was closed until 2pm, but it worked out perfectly to see the rest of the college first and end at the dining hall. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn about the history of Oxford and see some cool spots without having to coordinate all their separate tickets. [Btw, if you’re looking to do a photo shoot at Oxford, this is probably not the tour for you! It’s mostly about learning the history and seeing the main sites. There is time for more photos in the self-guided portion inside Christ Church].

Rose is a fantastic guide! Great tour. It is worth the cost. You get to see many parts of Oxford and learn so much about the colleges.
Laura_C, Aug 2025
Interesting tour. Antonia is a great guide, really kind and very helpful with the group. Good experience
Celista_R, Aug 2025
Our tour guide was wonderful but we didn't get to go into the Bodleian Library which was the main reason I chose the tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed your guide and the tour overall. We always try to let guests know as soon as possible if access to the Bodleian Library is restricted, but it is a working institution and can close at short notice. We appreciate your understanding.
