- After 2 years of closures, we are attempting to include entrances back into the tour. It is possible that the sites will not be possible on the day, the guide will inform you at the start of the tour, and you are able to get a full refund in these very rare circumstances
- During peak season (June–August), access to the Divinity School is extremely limited due to frequent closures and high demand, and may not be included in the tour. While some companies may claim otherwise, we prefer to be honest upfront rather than risk disappointment on the day.
- If you select Pickup option (the more expensive one) the meeting point will be the London address (Gloucester Road Tube Station), otherwise its the Oxford one (15 Broad Street, Oxford)

Outstanding tour by the best guide, Sam Day! So knowledgeable and engaging with great first hand stories. Walked away with a much deeper understanding/appreciation of Oxford. Don't hesitate to book, well worth the money and time.

This talking tour with Sam was a delight. Sam was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of Oxford and the uni. I was only sorry I could not stay to the end as the tour went on longer than I had expected. I will definitely do it again so I can do the second half of the tour.
Sam was such a great tour guide for our Oxford tour. It's hard to walk around Oxford and get the same appreciation for the school without someone there to provide some insight and stories. Sam did that with such enthusiasm and made sure that all of our questions were answered. Thoroughly enjoyed my time on this tour - thanks, Sam!
Jenny was an incredible guide from start to finish. Her deep knowledge as a student and reisdent of the city really brought everything to life. She did a phenomenal job detailing the rich history of Oxford, explaining how the differences between the Colleges and University, and sharing fascinating stories behind the individual colleges and alumni. Her passion and engaging storytelling made every stop memorable, perfectly balancing centuries of history with fun, local insights.
If you are planning a trip to Oxford, touring with walking tour is essential. I would highly recommend Jenny as your tour guide.
Maybe walked max 10 minutes in 1.5 hours. Just stood in the rain and the guide kept going on and on, talking about ancient history one minute, next minute about the present time. Very hard to follow especially when standing in one spot for 30+ minutes. Also this tour didn’t include entering any of the buildings. First time ever i left a tour early around 1.5 hours in (I have been to over 50 tours) The only reason i stayed this long was he wouldn’t stop talking for (30+) minutes so I could tell him I’m done and leaving.
Not sure if this is how things are with other guides. From my experience only DON’T recommend this tour. Did way more by myself.
Oscar was great! He was very informative and excited in his storytelling. We learned a lot about the university and its history.
Our guide Owen was superb and was able to share lots of history about Oxford. He was personable, thoughtful, polite and charming.
We had Oscar a second year student and were impressed by his enthusiasm, professionalism and knowledge. Highly recommended.
Make sure you arrive early as the guides aren't very well identified so may take you a while to find your guide (as it did for us).

Oscar our tour guide was brilliant. He gave us a wonderful overview of all the early history, buildings, halls and colleges well as up to date examples and experiences of being an Oxford student.
Oscar was fantastic, enthusiastic and quite the story teller. He had a way of immersing you into the the stories and history of Oxford! Very grateful we did this tour and highly recommend for a deeper dive into what’s what around the city and university.
Absolutely loved this tour! Oscar was fantastic - so animated, engaging and a brilliant storyteller. Being from the area and currently studying at Oxford gave him such a great perspective, mixing the fascinating history with personal insights into what life at the university is actually like.
Our small group of eight made it feel really personal, and the tour was perfectly paced with plenty of time for questions. Oscar really brought Oxford and its stories to life.

We had a great time learning all about the history of Oxford University as well as how it currently functions from Elliot, an alum. He was super knowledgeable, funny, and engaging. Also, he not only gave us a great dinner recommendation but walked us over to the restaurant as well.

We hardly noticed the torrential rain (likely the wettest day of the year!!) as Elliott kept us engaged with the historic origins of the different colleges; life as an Oxford student and so many historical facts about Oxford's role in our country's history.
I would recommend taking the tour as soon as you arrive as it was worth every minute and gave us an appreciation of the surrounding architecture and other sites in the locality as we continued with our city break.
