This was an INCREDIBLE tour! We loved our guide, who was a recent Classics graduate, and we couldn’t have enjoyed her more! And we loved how comprehensive this tour was, too.

Sam Day was excellent. Loves Oxford and his college in particular. Eloquent and erudite. Witty and interesting. Extremely knowledgeable and pitched at the right level. Endlessly patient with my children asking questions.

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Oxford. I loved hearing all the historical context, the stories that give meaning to the beauty of Oxford, honestly could have listened hours more of it. Thank you so much Ryan!

Learning the history of Oxford University and its many colleges was a highlight for me. I loved the historical facts the guide gave that are not known to the average visitor. Alex E. Was a great guide and such an amazing historian!
Marie_S, Jul 2026
Alex E was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing and hearing about the history inside the university.

The guide we had talked extensively while stopped. It took us 34 minutes to begin walking towards anything significant at the beginning of our tour. While informative, I believe we would have hit more ground if our tour guide could also walk and talk at the same time, to make the historical aspects shorter and more condensed throughout.

Ross was our guide and he was FANTASTIC! He had a ton of cool knowledge about the school and campus as he got his PhD there and is not a professor. Highly reccomend him and this tour.

Our guide, Sam, was not only very knowledgeable about Oxford, he was very entertaining. I learned about the history of Oxford along with some quaint, quirky anecdotes. My family was amused and edified.
Thank you for accommodating our rather chaotic entrance to the group.

Trystan did a nice job. The tour was interesting, and we learned a lot. There is so much to see in Oxford!

Trystan did a wonderful job bringing history to life on our tour. I especially enjoyed speaking with a current student of Oxford, which gave special insights and joy to the experience.

This was a very informative and interesting tour. My husband and I enjoyed it very much and have been talking about this experience ever since.

The Oxford walking tour led by alumni is well worth doing. Our guide was Will a Masters student. Very knowledgeable, insider view of college life. Lots of interesting facts. Good fun. Good to support these guys whilst they study.
Meredith_M, Jun 2026
Sam was an amazing tour guide. He, rather impressively, narrated a thousand years of British history as it relates Oxford in an engaging story telling way. It was such a cool way to experience the university.

Outstanding tour with Riccardo. Very knowledgeable. Able to answer well all questions asked of him. Very aware of other groups & made sure we did not clash by observing who was where so we went into smaller rooms when no other group was present for best experience. Spotted group was too big so got another guide so 2 smaller groups, Highly recommend

The tour was informative and the guide shared much from her personal experience as a student there. For those who wants an alumni perspectives.

Christine_c, Jun 2026
Our guide, Sam Day, made all the difference! The fact that he was an alumni and had loads of stories to share plus the history and current knowledge made it an amazing tour!

An excellent tour with a superb tour guide Thor. Thor was very knowledgeable and gave us great attention despite the weather. We wish he had a Venmo or other pay app QR code so we could’ve tipped him!
Vinu_I, Jun 2026
Eloise was an excellent tour guide. She gave an insider's view of beautiful Oxford and had the kind of knowledge about student life and academic life only someone of the university could have given us. She was very upbeat and my kids had a good time asking her questions, which she enthusiastically answered.
Sarah_M, Jun 2026
Hannah was an enthusiastic guide and gave great insight into being a student at Oxford. I enjoyed hearing her perspective.

We recently took a walking tour of Oxford University and had a very enjoyable experience. Our guide conducted the tour with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism, especially impressive given that it was her first tour with us. She shared thoughtful insights into the university’s history and architecture, which added real depth to the visit.
We went during the last week of May, when London was experiencing unusually high temperatures, and the heat made parts of the walk more challenging than expected. For anyone planning this tour, I would recommend choosing one of the cooler months to fully appreciate the beauty of Oxford without the discomfort of the heat. Overall, it was a memorable and worthwhile experience!

We had an interesting and informative tour with EJ. We walked through some of the colleges and learned about the history and inner workings of student life at Oxford.

We were accommodated on Thursday, May 21. I had mistakenly booked the wrong date- That earns you 5 stars.
The tour was a 2 hour tour but did not provide a similar itinerary.
The guide was able to talk and talk. The information that was shared was generally available content or personal experiences. That earned one star.
Cynthia_W, May 2026
Our guide, Thorstein, was delightful and as a current student his comments felt personal and up close.
Elaine_H, May 2026
So informative and interesting. Alex was a wealth of information! She had a great attitude even with the questionable weather 🙂
Susan_S, May 2026
Our guide Will was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour.
Scott_R, May 2026
Everything was excellent, tour guide was exceptional and kept a great rapport with the group. Only negative was our own fault as weather turned unexpectedly cold and the tour is 90% outside. Very glad we took this tour and had the experience.
Shali_Z, May 2026
Our guide, Elena, was wonderful. Her knowledge and life experience at Oxford University were wonderful for our tour.
Karen_P, May 2026
Great history of the university and the city. We had the best time! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable!
Steven_C, Apr 2026
Jasper was very knowledgable and enthusiastic about Oxford’s history. He projected his voice well among the cacophony of trucks, buses, tourists, workers, and other tour groups nearby.
