Despite the typical British weather we enjoyed our soggy trip on the boat and our guide Nick was very knowledgable and friendly. The meal at the Folly afterwards can only be described as superb. The food and the service were faultless. If we had not had already paid for 3 courses we would not have managed them but we got our value for money and it was excellent. It may work out cheaper to book the two things separately but we enjoyed the experience, including our glass of Prosecco on the boat, and would thoroughly recommend.

Fabulous! I wish the river tour was longer as it was so fun and informative. The diner was delicious and well worth the price. It is a quaint restaurant with excellent service and atmosphere. I would go again if I had a chance. Highly recommend.

Our river boat guide, Manny, was knowledgeable and funny. The 3 course dinner at Folly was amazing. This cozy restaurant overlooks the river with an outdoor patio and friendly staff. We started with duck liver parfait which was rich and flavorful. For entrees we had the pork belly and beef sirloin perfectly paired with red wine. Both were tender and delicious. For dessert, sautéed apricots with vanilla ice cream was the perfect finish. Highly recommend this tour.

Cruise on the Thames is short, 30-40 min. Dinner at the Folly restaurant was delicious. I recommend booking dinner and boat tour separately to save $$.

This is on me, but I read this as a dining cruise, not a ride on a boat and then a very upscale dinner. For what this tour was, it was nice. I probably would not have spent this much money if I had realized that they two events were separated, so be sure to read exactly what you are getting for this money. Especially if you are traveling with kids/teens.

Reading the previous reviews, I was not suprised to see that there wasn't any 1 star reviews. The staff went out on a limb to ensure that our visit was a pleasurable experience. The food was faultless, some may say a tad expensive, but we are not talking your average restaurant fare here. Attention to detail, presentation and good service is paramount in offering a good product. Along with great tasting food and you cannot go wrong.
The cruise prior to the meal was expertly skippered by Paul, who not only navigated well amongst the evening rowers out on the river, entertained us with good humour and explanations about the use of the river by canal boats and rowing clubs dotted along the riverside.

Saw a bit of Oxford that I wouldn’t have otherwise seen, had fun with the other guests on the boat, learned a bit about the area. Afterwards had a great meal at the restaurant. Food was excellent and portioned just right.

George, our skipper, could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable about the river and much of Oxford’s history. Loved every minute of it, as well as a glorious meal afterwards at the restaurant. Great fun and a great value!!

Lovely evening activity - cruise was relaxing and interesting with our skipper very knowledgeable on the area. Meal absolutely delicious and much larger portions than expected for a fancy place. It was a really excellent experience and perfect for a special occasion.

Directions to get to location were straight forward. Paul (cruise driver) was lovely. He was so personable, knowledgeable, and really made the experience special. We ended up being the only two people on the cruise and it was a great experience. Highly recommend and I hope you get Paul!
