One of the most popular places of interest in Moldova is a touristic zone called Old Orhei(Orheiul Vechi), which is situated on the Raut River (Răut Rău). It is a nation’s patrimony, which is located about 60 km away from the capital city Chisinau, among three villages: Butuceni, Morovaia and Trebujeni. Orhei Vechi is an archeological and historical complex, which consists of two moderate but very old museums, ancient rocky church and also several private old-fashioned hotels in a very traditional style, located in villages Butuceni and Trebujeni. The country’s national coat of arms still includes the traditional hammer and sickle and the Lenin is revered till today. Our first stop will be the Bender fortress - an architectural monument of the XVI century. It was built on the model of the Western European structure of bastion type. You can walk along the walls enjoying the great views of the Dniester River. After Bender, we take you to Tiraspol, the capital of Transnistria and the 2nd largest town of Moldova. We will take you to the major attractions of Tiraspol, such as V. Lenin monument and House of Soviets, the Transnistrian Parliament (25 October Ave, Tiraspol), the Afghanistan War Memorial, Monument-tank, and more. Possible extensions for this tour: KVINT Distillery (Tiraspol), MIMI Wine Castle, Asconi Winery or Noul Neamt Monastery.

Just 12 miles (20 kilometers) south of Moldova’s capital Chișinău lies Milestii Mici, a vast wine cellar said to accommodate about 2 million bottles. With this tour, a driver takes the wheel, ferrying guests to and around the underground complex.
