Top Ireland Bird Watching

Maximize your time on land in Ireland on a full-day shore excursion. From Cork Harbour, travel through the Irish countryside to the 13th-century Blarney Castle. Kiss the world-renowned Blarney Stone for good luck, if you like. Return to Cork for a coach tour of the city’s sights; visit the charming town of Kinsale, and make a brief stop in Cobh, famous as the departure point of the Titanic.

Experience the thrill of observing whales and dolphins on this 4-hour cruise around Dingle Bay. Marvel over the startling coastal scenery as you drive along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, then hop aboard for a memorable cruise around the bay. Glide past Slea Head, the westernmost point of Europe, then cruise out to the Blasket Islands and look out for humpbacks whales, dolphins, seals, basking sharks and puffins.

This is a private, small-group photography experience led by a working professional photographer — not a tour guide with a camera. Maximum 3 guests means genuine one-to-one guidance throughout, from boat to island to clifftop. Most Skellig boats leave from Portmagee. We depart from Kenmare at 7.30am, with a scenic 50 minute drive to your licensed boat operator. On the water, you'll circumnavigate the Little Skellig gannet colony — over 30,000 birds — at close range. On Skellig Michael, puffins nest within metres of the path. You'll have time, guidance, and the right vantage points to make images you're proud of, not just snapshots from a moving crowd.
