Making our way through the rural countryside of East Iceland, we’ll travel along the picturesque Jökuldalur valley to our first stop, the Rjúkandi waterfall, where a short, accessible path leads to the falls—a perfect introduction to Iceland’s natural beauty. From there, we continue to Stuðlagil Canyon, home to one of the largest and most breathtaking basalt column formations in the country. This photogenic canyon is especially captivating in early summer, when the Jökulsá river runs a striking turquoise, shifting to a silvery-grey by August as the Hálslón reservoir at Kárahnjúkar releases overflow water. Optional add-ons include visits to Vök Baths or The Reindeer Park.

This tour is done with a maximum of 6 people. Our adventure begins in the morning in the picturesque village of Djúpivogur. We'll embark on an 80-minute scenic tour of Iceland, with snow-capped mountains, valleys and rivers revealing breathtaking views. First stop is the hidden gem of Stokksnes, where black sand beaches and the ethereal Vestrahorn mountain create a photographer's paradise. The journey continues to the surreal Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, where icy blue waters and floating icebergs offer a serene spectacle. Nearby, Diamond Beach dazzles with its sparkling remains of ice. Next, you will embark on an exciting tour on the Zodiac boat through the Fjallsárlón glacial lagoon. On your return, you will have a delicious lunch with salad buffet at the Frost restaurant. We will begin our way back, but we will make a brief stop in the fishing village of Höfn, before reaching Djúpivogur.

Explore the stunning Stuðlagil Canyon, marvel at Iceland's deepest gorge, relax in a natural hot spring, and visit the impressive Kárahnjúkar power plant. An unforgettable East Icelandic adventure! Stuðlagil Canyon boasts one of Iceland's largest basalt column formations, making it a photogenic site, especially when the river runs clear. The blue-green water contrasts beautifully with the basalt columns, leaving visitors in awe. Despite seasonal changes, the canyon remains consistently stunning. On this tour, visit Stuðlagil Canyon from the renovated viewpoint at Grund, offering aerial views from safe platforms and trails. Next, journey to Hafrahvammagljúfur Canyon, Iceland's deepest gorge, known as Dimmugljúfur or "The Dark Canyon." Enjoy a soak in a natural hot spring surrounded by serene wilderness (Note: No facilities available). On the return, stop at the Hálslón reservoir and Kárahnjúkar dam to view Iceland's largest power plant, one of Europe's biggest.
