What are people saying about Bucharest

Long but worth it.
This is a a long day, approximately 12 hours and an early start. About 6 hours of your day is spent on the bus. Brasov old town is nice and there are plenty of nice restaurants for lunch. Peles palace is the one that makes the trip worthwhile, it is exceptional. Bran castle is nice to see but really is all a bit fake. Nothing in Bran castle is original and it really has nothing to do with Dracula or Vlad Dracul or Vlad the Impaler. It is a nice building and nice to see it for what it is. Emmanuel our guide was excellent and had some great stories. Timings were perfect so we had maximum time in each of the 3 locations. Our driver Stephen was a man of mystery and I don't think he spoke a word for the 12 hours but he is a superb safe driver. We did this tour on Saturday May 9th, the weather was not great so it was quiet but there was still a 30 minute queue at Peles and 15 minutes at Bran so I would hate to see what it would be like on a busy summer day or in the height of the ski season.

Great experience
Great tour, our guide was very nice made the tour interesting, not only to learn about the castles but of Bucharest and Romania as a whole. It would of been good to have been able to spend maybe an extra 30mins around Bran castle as we felt a little rushed at the end of the day.

Magical day out
Excellent but long day out! The itinery was fantastic with majestic castles and a quaint town. There were plenty of toilet stops during the day mainly at service stations where there were minimal queues. There was a bit of a queue at Peles castle but it moved at a reasonable pace. Lunch was at an authentic restaurant recommended by Romeo, our guide. Romeo was very informative and helpful although some quiet on the journey back to Bucharest would have been appreciated.

Ideal tour for the first time visitor
An excellent 2 and a half hour 5k tour of old town and some of the new town.
Our guide Eduard was entertaining, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. He kept our attention for the whole tour with his delivery and enthusiasm. The tour covered all the architectural, cultural and historical highlights of the old town and the wonderful parks.
I would highly recommend the tour.

Bulgaria Day Trip from Zagreb, Croatia.
I really enjoyed it. The only issue for me is the van was completely full. It's nice to meet new people, but to be so close to absolute strangers is uncomfortable. I realize you cannot rent an oversize vehicle to transport 6 people. But there should be a bit more space to add to the comfort of riding for several hours.

Fabulous Tuk Tuk Experience
We had a fabulous experience with Robert our tuk tuk guide. It was a great way to get an overview of Bucharest as Robert pointed out the significant buildings and landmarks. He has great knowledge of his city. We are very happy we took this tour on our first day which also help us to get oriantated with the city. We highly recommend this tour.

Great day out
Great day out at the Slănic Salt Mine. Our guide was a lovely lady - friendly, organised, and full of interesting information about the area and the mine's history. The whole trip ran smoothly and the site itself is incredible to see.
Definitely worth doing.

Comfortable, private trip
It was a wonderful day trip with the knowledgeable Bogdan, who was very flexible and brought us to the places with the least tourists first. His car was also very comfortable. We will definitely contact him the next time we visit Romania for a longer trip!

Great day exploring this beautiful countryside with an expert driver
Kristian was outstanding driver and a terrific conversationalist. We enjoyed our day with him.
The Peles castle had incredible wood carving throughout .
The Bran castle was a fun challenge going up and down the stairs.
The lunch at Brasov was very good. We managed to see the three sites mentioned in two hours.
All of the sites were touristy but well organized. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the drive and were glad to say we got to Transylvania.

I was the only one on...
I was the only one on this tour (felt like a private tour) and we walked around outside of the main city centre and I got to see another side to Bucharest. Getting to go where the locals go and taste amazing Romanian food. Elena was so informative and the vibe was great. She explained historic events and showed me pictures from the past at certain locations so I was able to really understand what it was like to live in Bucharest from many years ago to the present.
The tour had a lot of food I was so full!! I enjoyed this so much and definitely recommend doing this tour when in Bucharest.

Great day, great guide.
We did the tour of Transylvania with Dracula castle, bear sanctuary and Braşov.
It was a long day, however it was also jam packed when visiting these places.
The bear sanctuary was great. It was incredible to see the bears up close and personal. The guide explained the stories about the bears we saw which was nice to hear.
The sanctuary is on a hill and you have to walk up a steep hill while there. The tour is for just over an hour which flew by.
Next was Dracula castle, this was in a lovely little town. The castle was lovely, however it was very busy and we visited out of season. We had just over an hour here and after walking around the castle it was straight back in the car.
Within Braşov Mihai our tour guide took us around different places and explained their history. He was full of knowledge and really helpful.
Overall this was a really good day which we throughly enjoyed.
We did take snacks to keep us going, but you do get time for food in Braşov.
